When listening to Bach in private, just sit/lay down, close you eyes, concentrate on the music and wiggle your toes as if they're a conductors hands.

BTW I prefer Harpsichord over Piano (for most pieces) and I'm convinced that Bach would've too.

Depends on the piece for me Harpsichord wise.

The harpsichord has such a simple mechanism, just a lever connected to plucker rather than all the fancy things a piano action has. Thats why it has that impulse in its twang.
