lovely song featuring a very beautiful women indeed.
lovely song indeed - slow, lyrical and melodious... quite a different song type for sonu kakkar ( her usual style is like those bhojpuri films dance numbers - not that there is anything wrong with those
).
there was just one awkward couplet in the song which jarred the smooth flow :
jeene lage jeene lage
zinda hue hain phirse
but otherwise a song that will be played in years to come.
the best couplet was :
tum mile toh laga
humko rihaai mil gayi
and related to that couplet is 'banjaara' that i first listened in 2014 and it was affecting for me like it would to anyone who has seen sufferings and then sees through someone a sudden calmness and peace ( unnecessary socio-economic sufferings are one reason why i am a fanatic socialist )... khair :
Nice share. The lyrics and of course slow and soft. Nice!
I explored a new song few days back and I am pretty much loving it. On repetition.
the phrase "dard-e-dil" is reminiscent of 90's songs... nice song generally but one jarring thing is that it is in a film that, as far as i know, has disconnected-from-reality college students doing frivolous and loud partying and other immature living... but the song itself once removed from that imagining is a nice song indeed.
the female version of it has been covered very well by the lovely shirley setia who's become the most famous indian youtube singer and she has done some concerts in india and met a few hindi film stars too... she lives in canada but her ancestry is in the non-usual location called 'daman and diu' that is on india's western coastline above bombay and for 450 years was ruled by the portuguese... here is shirley with 'baarish' :
i love another cover by her, of 'manmarziyaan' from the sonakshi film 'lootera'... there are actually not too many female solo songs in hindi films and shirley has covered this very well... and i love her expressions... superb voice :
she along with two more artists in a nicely-produced outdoor production of 'ishq wala love' :
django,
@Zibago - shirley?? you have of course seen her pic i posted many months ago and probably her songs as well.
and in the recommendations list of the original 'baarish' was 'kabhi jo baadal barse' but i will post darshan rawal's cover of this that he sang in 'india's raw star 2014'... the song reminds me of one happy moment in pouring rain in 2014 (
)... in the song itself i love when darshan goes "baadal baadal baadal baadal"... enjoy :
this vid is a retelecast on the southern malayalam language channel, asianet, so there is dubbing in that language of the post-song talk so it will appear strange to hear the punjabi rapper, honey singh, speak in malayalam.
another fine contestant was jeffrey iqbal, a american... this is short clip of him singing 'kun faaya kun' :
jeffrey and 'tere mast mast do nain' :
and there was the beautiful mansheel gujral, here is 'main tenu samjhaavan ki' :
@Levina mentee, honey singh speaks malayalam.
django, zibago - mansheel??
rind singular form of rindo,i think its a farsi word, means a sceptic----eda okha (mushkil) v nae ay to understand the lyrics
hmm, so 'rindo' can be my takkhallus maybe or a code-name.
and thanks for your effort with the lyrics.
P.S do you know any indan punjabi other than parul----it has been almost a month and he isn't answering my maasoomana queries about punajbi--
parul is a she.
but i will tag
@Juggernautjatt ... he's punjabi and lives in indian punjab.
sorry for delay in replying to this but i wasn't very active on forum in last few days.
deis ist eine Deutsche band
that music, why do i feel as if there's a hindi song using it?? levina??
and his hair !!
good find, or did you know of this for long??
haven't listened to full of it, just flew through it... quite a useful set of pieces really.
the initial bit reminded me of the film 'the eagle has landed' that i had seen many years ago... maybe it has similar tune.
a later bit reminded me of music in a israeli film i had seen many years ago - minotaur, about a mossad agent in new york who falls in love with a american lady :

@jamahir what's this
the scenery and govindas flamboyant outfits are great though--- manmohak
yeah, a typical govinda song of the 90's... manmohak indeed.
i love his expressions and dance steps in 'sona kitna sona hai' :
though there is a nice serious and very nice song of him 'bali umar ne mera haal' from a serious film, 'awaargi', that i had mentioned some days ago when moonlight had mentioned 'chamakte chaand ko' :
