this figure also includes casualties during the 2001-2002 standoff.
of which pakistan has given no official reports about their casualties.

we lost 60 soldiers this year, and this was a high number, dont know how can we have 4500 deaths in 15 years by that....as by 2001, the kashmir jihad was dead after all the afghan mujahideens and all foreigners had already died .

India evacuated most of it's citizens. And FYI Indian villages and cities are more populated. And later there was one documentary showing may villages stayed back to fight and some of them were ex army soldiers from NLI. Now if they get killed it's their fault.
