What are INDIAN's top 5 favorite countries?

5 Nations that i have special respect is here....

1, Japan
2, Germany
3, Russia
4, Israel
5, United States

.
The government relations between the two countries seems to be ok but i am not quiet sure about the people to people intereactions between Russians and Indians. I would personally think twice about going to Russia in all honesty but call me ignorant i suppose. The most hospitable people that i've met personally have been South Americans. They are absolutely wonderful people

.
I dont want to hurt anyone's emotion, but it seems that all Indians will not be welcomed by the Russian, Israeli and Iranian societies. Please dont call me racist. But in reality until unless the society of the country where you want to settle down accepts you, you will face difficulties to live there. Indian population has been de-Aryanized greatly due to the assimilation of North Indians with the relatively larger South Indian population. Still North Indians who look like Hritik Roshan may be accepted by the Russian or Iranian or Israeli society, but it is highly unlikely that South Indians who look like Bollywood comedian Johnny Lever will be welcomed by any of those societies. They mau face racist assaults. They do face in fact. This is the harsh truth. Not only in Australia or UK, but in the relatively peaceful society of Russia, Indians face racism. Just a year ago one Indian was brutally slaughtered and even the Russian state TV admitted the racial motivation behind the killing.

Youtube video as evidence:

cA52YvI5We4[/media] - The growing problem of Russian Racism-Indian Killed!

having lived in India , and then in Many other countries , including Australia.

I have experienced first hand the racism. and i can tell you that its everywhere.

but not all people are racists.
there are always some racists in any society., we shouldn't let them represent the entire population

I think you should keep in mind that every Indian will possibly have a different answer, you can't really generalize.

Looking outside the SAARC countries, for me in no particular order of preference

1. Australia - Despite all the bad press, still is a welcoming countries and a model welfare state
2. Iran - Has made good use of its resources to improve the life of its citizens unlike the GCC rulers and has historical, cultural and people ties with India going back 1000s of years.
3. China - Han Chinese history and people are pretty cool, its economic development pretty neat. Only its the Chinese govt. that should allow more freedom and democratic setup to make it better.
4. Malaysia - successful transformation into an Asian tiger and moving from an Agrarian economy to a high tech one.
5. Singapore - Tiny countries that is still democratic and still provides high standard of living for its citizens.

I thought this question was only for Indians. Unless you consider yourself to be secretly an Indian after all :P
Ejaz Bhai,

Are you sure Singapore is truly a democratic ??

My favorite countries...where i will feel at home..where people will be more similar culturally..the food..the air the climate...I love them all..my neighbouring countries..
Pakistan
Bangladesh
Srilanka
Nepal
Bhutan

.
1) Germany - Emerged from a pile of rubble in 1945 to Europe's economic powerhouse in a few decades. Admire their engineering prowess as well as nationalism. Japan on similar lines, emerged as the economic & technological powerhouse and was Asia's # 1 for quite sometime. Still believe it has the potential to recover as the champion of Asia although thats difficult.

2) New Zealand - First country to declare a non-nuclear zone among the western nations. Has a good standard of living and very beautiful landscape.

3) Scandinavian Nations - Very good welfare systems, good standard of life. Most citizens give a rats @$$ on religion and hence are not driven by silly superstition.

4) China - Set an example on overcoming domestic & international issues and emerged as a major superpower. Not a big fan of their emissions but not sure if any country with such potential would behave differently.

5) USA - The most powerful democracy that beat communism and to an extent nazism as well. Dislike their lack of initiative on environmental front and the rash foreign policy decisions of the past.

Other than these, admire Israel for existing & prospering despite all odds and Brazil for setting an example on partying & getting rid of the addiction to foreign oil.

I know my response might be disputed since iv picked up China and Russia ( neither is known for Civil liberties n Social welfare ) but culturally they are rich , spl China which has a history dating back to 3000 BC and had had close contact with india since the rise of Buddhism . The development of scientific temperament , near universal education are other reasons for me to pick them bsides China's unprecedented economic growth .

Besides , RACISM EXISTS EVERYWHERE :hitwall:

2. America.
3. France.
4. Nepal.
5. Mauritius.
6. Bangladesh.

Not everywhere.

We cannot generalize. As far as India's caste system is concerned, many people say this is nothing but blatant racism practiced exclusively in a particular Indian religious society.

Yes, we hear news that Indian North Eastern Asian inhabitants face violent racism in mainstream Indian society as they are fair skinned.

Sometimes, India's Tribal populations, Santhals, Mundas etc complain that they are oppressed by Indians themselves!!! And sometimes, India's minority religious groups face racist communal violence which leaves Mosques and Churches demolished and minorities killed. We all still remember the demolition of Bubri Mosque.

But from a Chinese point of view, racism by Indians was seen after 1962 war. Below is the evidence:

The Chinese also had to cope with local distrust after the border war between India and China in 1962. Nearly 350,000 Chinese lived in Calcutta before the 1962 conflict. Now there are less than 5,000, according to community members. For several years after the war, the Chinese found themselves treated with suspicion by the government, which severely restricted their movement.

Asia Times: Calcutta's Chinese near extinction

During the Sino-Indian conflict, the Chinese faced anti-national sentiment unleashed by the Indian National Congress-dominated government. Chinese businesses were investigated for links to the Chinese government and many people of Chinese origin were interned in prisons in North India.

Well, not to mention today many Indians live in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing, Guangzhou etc in China and if now Han Chinese start paying back.

Anyway, thanks for the acknowledging China's civilizational values. Yes the world knows China is a civilization and I strongly believe China will co exist with the rest of the world, except one neighboring country.

China is a civilization. Civilization and barbarism cannot co exist. Never.

:china: :pakistan: :usflag:

.
Yes yes, India is barbaric. Then why do you still live here? Why don't you go back to your Chinese paradise. Afraid that you shall be accused of being a counter-revolutionary?

.
1. Japan----Hard work
2. Russia--- Any need to mention that?
