Not in every country and some are better than others, for example White people here in the US don't want to be Whiter on average. They try to get tans, and become darker. Movies have started having full Black casts, and full Asian casts.

-Black people are always represented as tall mixed-race with straight hair or brown curly hair
-Eastern Asians literally have eyelid surgeries to make their eyelids appear more European
-White people have other ridiculous ideals like height, or hair, or body types that they try to hide or try to minimise.
