Imran Khan wants to deal with every problem diplomatically. He needs to learn very quickly that not all problems have a diplomatic solution. PTM is a terrorist group and has full backing and support from a disgruntled US deep state. PTM has no future in Pakistan. Its supporters need to be banned. PTM needs to be disbanded and criminalized.
I keep repeating this. The West is going to cry rivers. They are going to throw fits and even threaten to sanction and blacklist Pakistan over this. PTM is after all their investment against Pakistan. The Western powers have invested heavily in PTM. They want this group to gain traction and continue to prosper in order to challange the writ of the state.
We need to decide one thing pretty quickly. Is the state and by extension the nation going to live in fear and intimidation or is it going to deal with the challanges ahead? FATF, PTM etc. are all Western inventions to hold Pakistan hostage. It shouldn't be this way. Initially Pakistan is going to feel isolated and threatened if it makes the right choice. So did Cuba once btw. Economically Pak is already feeling the brunt. Initially the economy is the massive hurdle that Pakistan is going to face. They will sanction and blacklist to hurt the economy. Not all is doomsday though.
We have the ultimate luck on our side because we have a behemoth ally on our side. China is what the West really fears. There is a constant panick attack in Western think tank circles about Chinese alternative for developing nations. The West feels threatened and intimidated by the idea that China can serve as a substitute. It diminishes Western blackmail and bullying tactics against mostly developing nations.
We need to weigh all our options, but never ever compromise on security issues. Learn from Turkey.
