We should worry more about Pakistan than North Korea

Imagine this: A small group of terrorists buys a nuclear weapon from Pakistani generals with dark money and transports it to the port of Karachi in a pickup truck. From there, the weapon is hidden in a crate, cushioned amongst textiles and agricultural products, and loaded onto a container ship bound for the United States, where it could very easily destroy one of our cities. This operation could be carried out by a fairly small number of terrorists.

If it had to happen, it should have happened by now. GI Joe movie had a similar script, Bollywood may follow soon on this script. Its interesting that some things only happen in movies, never in real life.

The reason why its not happening is because of strict measures in place. Never gonna happen.

This is so stupid...I'm tired of hearing about Pak's "unsecured nuclear weapons". There has never been a case where Pak's nuclear weapons were stolen or acquired by someone else. So what evidence is there that Pak's nuclear weapons are not secure? These are just BS opinions by ppl looking for some attention.

The incidences of use of explosive materials and devices against human, military and paramilitary targets increased rapidly. By the year 2013, Air Force bases, General Headquarters of ground forces, airports, international hotels, mosques, parks, railway stations and variety of police training schools and educational institutions had been attacked. Remote controlled explosive devices, suicide belts and assault attacks by heavily armed terrorists were used against targets in Pakistan. It is emphatically reiterated that under this unmatched terrorist onslaught on Pakistan, not a single gram of nuclear material, nor any small, medium or large sized nuclear weapon was either stolen, damaged or destroyed. Pakistan being the youngest nuclear weapons state incorporated the best features of command and control systems of the Western nuclear powers in its own command and control system. This resulted in so far the best Command Control Communications Computers Intelligence and Reconnaissance based system for safekeeping of nuclear weapons and materials and their deployment.

Drone strikes with more frequency on pretext of hurting haqqani and Co and sanctions effecting grants koans movement of funds in international banking etc.

The Arabs rely on the west so I don't buy this Pakistan strategic interests story.

And the use it or lose it is a fantasy theory you can't nuke a USA or any other sovereign nation.in act of desperation .

I laugh at the puny wishes of indians that somehow Pakistan is becoming North Korea. After Moohdhi Ji's Success of isolating Pakistan globally we now have North Korea syndrome.

Imagine this: Sen. Pressler was a young and bright american student that went to Oxford on a scholarship.

He thought too much of himself and within the first week of his arrival got into a scuffle with a group of Asian students(most of them Pakistanis). Some of these ruffians, fairly small number of them, beat him up, then loaded him into trunk of their car and sped away. They stopped the car at an abandoned warehouse, got Mr. Pressler out and took him inside. Once there, two of the Pakistani students stripped Mr. Pressler and made him dance naked, the whole group laughed hysterically as Mr. Pressler danced to save his life. Once the group had had their fun they left in their car but taking Mr. Pressler's clothes with them. He had to walk 5 miles to a police station, nothing but a cardboard covering his, well stuff. Police tried to catch the rowdy group of students but they were told that it was the last day of their stay in Oxford and they have flown back to Pakistan.

This incident scarred Mr. Pressler for life, he was so traumatized by the incident that he could never buy a Sedan car and instead only bought Hatchbacks. And this my good fellows is the reason why Sen. Pressler has such venom against Pakistan.

The probability of my imagination actually being a real incident is far greater than Sen. Pressler's imagination ever becoming a reality.

Named after me, it was enforced under President Bush in 1990 when he could not certify that Pakistan did not have a nuclear weapon. As a result, all aid to Pakistan was immediately cut off. It was the ultimate diplomatic “stick.” Unfortunately, the generals in the Pentagon continued to find ways to fund the generals in Islamabad and the Pressler Amendment’s effectiveness and enforcement withered.

We became much more self-sufficient and this is not Pakistan of early 90's you are talking about. We are not a $50 Billion economy, we are a $300 Billion economy now. Even if we grow at the present slow rate, we will become part of G20 within next 20 years. Our nuclear weapons and delivery mechanisms are much more refined, we have achieved the Triad. Mr. Pressler and his government can't do sh** about Pakistan or its nukes even if they want to.
