No casualties on Pakistan side over past 24 hours, army on high alert: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan has not suffered any casualties in the past 24 hours. The armed forces are on high alert to challenge any aggression, said a statement from the ISPR, on Sunday.
The media-wing of the armed forces said that after a heavy exchange of fire on March 1 and March 2 between the forces of the two sides along the Line of Control, there was relative calm. Both sides exchanged fire between intervals of time at Neza Pir, Jandrot and Baghsar sectors.
“There have been no casualties on the Pakistan side of the border since the past 24 hours,” read the statement from the ISPR.
“During last 48 hours Indian troops resorted to increased cease fire violations in KOTLI, Khuiratta and Tatta Pani Sectors along LOC. Pakistan Army troops responding effectively.
“Reports of casualties to Indian forces and damage to Indian posts. Indian deliberate firing on civilians resulted into shahadat of 4 citizens and 2 injured.
“Pakistan Armed Forces are in a state of readiness for all eventualities.
“We request the public to stay mindful about rumour mills and stay responsible in use of social media,” read the statement from the ISPR.
