nobody won, foolish nawaz got into american pressure,

but pakistan won in this way that it did inflicted a hige damage on the enemy, pakistan again realized kashmir can be freed again and that pakistan did initially capture some mahbuza kashmir's territory

.

again you are doing same thing
making some parts bold that makes you happy

A General who led the Indian Army on ground in the Kargil conflict, has broken his 11-year silence to say that he believes India actually lost the war in strategic terms.

In an exclusive interview to NDTV, Lieutenant-General Kishan Pal, who was then the head of the Srinagar-based 15 Corps, says India has failed to consolidate its tactical gains. Asked for his assessment of the conflict 11 years later, Gen Pal told NDTV: "Well for 11 years I did not speak at all...I did not speak because I was never convinced about this war, whether we really won it...We did gain some tactical victories, we regained the territories we lost, we lost 587 precious lives. I consider this loss of war because whatever we gained from the war has not been consolidated, either politically or diplomatically. It has not been consolidated militarily." Gen Pal was recently in a controversy involving the battle performance report of one of his juniors, Brigadier Devinder Singh. Speaking to NDTV, the then Army chief General VP Mailk refused to get into the debate but said there was little doubt who won that war.

this is what is most important..kishan pal ji says he is not sure if we won because we where not able to use this victory politically and diplomatically and 587 of our soldiers died....and it is true...we still are in danger of attack over adventurous pakistanis...so what was the outcome of war???

Pakistan only realised how spinless their leaders are and were forced to withdraw...imagine the plight of Pak soldiers. Fought for spineless establishment.

He says that the loss was not consolidated. That means,he would have liked to see India,to gain something from the skirmish.Since that was not done, and we only defended our nation, hence he considers it a loss.Nowhere he actually says that the Kargil war was a military defeat....

It is a military defeat for Pakistan though,as it failed to achieve its objective, and loss of lives was significantly higher on the Pakistani side mainly due to the action of IAF and the Indian Artillery, while PAF ,mysteriously stayed away from the conflict.

It is a defeat for Pakistan from political point of view as well,as it then led to yet another military coupe, the fourth one in the country's short history of a little more than 50 years..

A little bit of English comprehension is needed to understand long sentences. May be its too much to ask for.. But try reading the bold part and you will understand what the general is trying to say

.
we salute him..
may he get well soon..

You don’t even know that he is dead, in fact no government official turned up at his funeral

Prashant Kumar Bundela may have been a coward who shot down an unarmed defenceless Pakistani Atlantique aircraft in 1999. But on Sunday, as his family accompanied his body to his hometown Baggar in Rajasthan, no government official, no politician turned up to pay tributes to this coward.

No ‘official’ tears for IAF coward

this particular incident was quite sad indeed..the death of such a nice pilot owing to mechanical failures...So far as the Atlantique incident is concerned, well it was given its chance to surrender. The crew chose to ignore it,so,there was no other option left. But then all this is offtopic

Shooting at an unarmed aircraft is definitely a cowardly act and the fact that you didn’t know who he was or that he is already dead shows that your howling against Pakistan is not about care towards Indian lives it’s just to put down Pakistan.

The events of 1947 have left you Indians deeply traumatized. Partition has left you deeply scared and all the bluffing and barfing about your ‘wins’ against Pakistan are just to give yourselves some closure on those events.

We have come down on you like hammer before and we will do so again!
