Only Jakarta look Ok, many Indonesia's provinces only can compare with Zimbabwe

Many? Could you state your statistical sources? This is the reason why I said you talk about macro economics with no real understanding of how it works..

Just sent link bro

Let’s take a look at East Nusa Tenggara, the province that famous for it’s giant Komodo dragon. According to 2015 statistics, this province possesses GDP per capita merely around $1,147.34. If we take these numbers literally into account, it means GDP per capita of Jakarta people in one month is higher than annual GDP per capita of East Nusa Tenggara people in one year.

This number is lower than the poorest nation of Southeast Asia, Cambodia, that has slightly higher GDP per capita. Which puts East Nusa Tenggara on-par with countries like Cameroon, Zambia, poorer than Ivory Coast, and slightly richer than Zimbabwe.

.
Something doesn’t add up. VN power generation is about 42GW in 2016. Indonesia official GDP is 5 times larger, one could expect your power generation should be more than 200GW. But why yours only 60GW?
Lol, dont be flip flop lah, we were talking about hard macro economics, not factoral macro economics. However, I would objectively agree with you, power generation is something that could hinder Indonesia's further growth, this is why the Indonesian government is investing heavily in power. https://www.pwc.com/id/en/energy-utilities-mining/assets/power/power-guide-2017.pdf

Well, the NTT province, is indeed one of the poorest, but if you mock the NTT province, perhaps you should take a better care of your Ha Giang province with only 720 USD dollar per capita... https://www.halong-bay-cruises.com/...ists-to-stop-helping-by-money-to-end-begging/

No. It’s not flip flopping. Power generation correlates very much with GDP figure. Philippines Gdp is bigger than Vietnam but our power generation is multiple times bigger than of the Philippines? It makes no sense at all. Or the people in the Durtete’s land produces GDP in the darkness?

Export figures don’t lie, either because they can be verified. Domestic numbers can be manipulated as one pleases. Or will the NATO check gdp number? VN sold more than 1 billion shoe pairs to overseas in 2017. How many shoes you sold last year?

We dont deny we are poor, we just ended war against Pol pot,Thailand, CN in 1988 and US lift sanction on VN after Soviet collapsed in 1990.

But u guys claim that Indonesia is richer than VN. Dude, keep other provinces richer than Zimbabwe and Cambodia first

It correlates, but not as strong in the case of Indonesia. Here I share you a study that shows electricity has only low impacts on Indonesian economic growth.

"Conclusions We examined the relationship between economic growth and electricity power consumption in emerging countries during the period 1970-2011 by using Pedroni, Kao and Johansen co-integration tests and Granger causality tests. The empirical findings demonstrated that that electricity consumption had a positive impact on the economic growth in the whole panel and electricity had the largest impact on economic growth in Hungary, while it had the smallest impact in Indonesia. The Granger causality test demonstrated that there was bidirectional causality between economic growth and electricity consumption. Our finding is consistent with Gurgul and Lach (2011), Bildirici and Kayıkcı (2012), Hu and Lin (2013), Ogundipe and Apata (2013) and Nazlioglu et al. (2014). The bidirectional causality between economic growth and electricity consumption supported the feedback hypothesis for all the emerging countries, in other words economic growth and electricity consumption affects each other. This means that increases in economic growth raised electricity consumption and increasing electricity consumption increases economic growth. Therefore emerging countries should diversify energy supply and increase the share of renewable energy sources in energy consumption by considering their highly dependence on electricity."

I dont dispute the reliability of the data, I disputed the way you presented the data in light of the topic. You were using wrong data to show how much industrialized VN is compared to Indonesia.

New development is coming, in a big way... We neglected our eastern province before, but the new administration put high emphasis on developing rural and border area, like NTT.

These are new border posts in NTT.

New roads, airports, ports and dams are currently under construction in this province and other eastern provinces .. You just don't know how massive infrastructure drive currently ongoing in Indonesia.. In a decade Everyone will find Indonesia once again leapfrogging to a new different level.

Okay Ha Giang ppl is poor, but they have enough rice to eat everyday, the Govt. will send rice again when it run out cos we r rice exporter .... But in many Indonesia's provinces ppl are facing with rice shortage and ppl have to sleep wt hungry stomachs while Indonesia have to buy rice from Thai,VN this year.
..........

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on Saturday reported that at millions of Indonesia still suffering from starvation.

I just tell the Truth. War just ended in Vn in 1988 but even poor ppl in Ha Giang still have acceptable life cos they have rice to eat everyday while At least 19.4 million Indonesia go to sleep every day with a hungry stomach .

So, u guys'd better pay more money to buy rice from VN, Thai to save your poor pple instead of trying to believe that u r richer than VN. Even poor ppl in Ha Giang still have much better life than million Indonesian cos they have rice to eat everyday.

Anyway, dont be so overproud, there are still millions of people in VN that suffers from hunger too. Stop trying to compare yourself, just focus on whatever you do. https://e.vnexpress.net/news/news/over-1-million-vietnamese-live-in-hunger-3477123.html

you should be happy I started a thread with Indonesia. this Far East section is too much Chinese.

well, unless there is an extreme event happening such as natural disaster, although poverty exists in VN but it´s rate decreases by every year. we are a developing country though. there is a interesting paper of the University of Leeds that compares 150 countries in the world. Question: which country provides the best result to its citizens with least resources? Answer: no country. BUT Vietnam is the only country that comes much close to the best desired outcomes: good access to healthcare, education, jobs, equality, social support, access to energy, high life expectancy. yes we are better than Germany that tops the chart!
