Different country different approach. If we follow your path of developing domestic car, we will need another ten years to have domestic cars. With cars coming out off assembly lines with poor and cheap quality. No thanks.

There is only one approach, you start from the basics, not outsource the entire car production to foreigners. Why not you just buy a BMW and add a V badge to it. Then you save 10 years. We have low medium and high quality cars, depends how much you are willing to pay. The electric transmission and battery of almost all non Tesla EV cars are now made by CATL. You must still be sleeping.

Almost all technology we are using today first came out one or half century ago or even longer (such as internet, computer, super jumbo, rockets, nuclear power, everything...)... And "vn has no tech" is in relative terms, in a sense, every country has some technology, even in the poorest and least developed country... but when in comparison, your technology is negligible... So his statement "vn has no tech" is 99% correct...

But HSR is only suitable for rich countries like EU,JP where already have HSR while developing countries like CN is in serious big debt for making HSR.

Chinese cars are not brand competitive, but saying Vietfast is better is delusional. What is your NCAAP rating? Learn how to design and build an engine first before shouting supa powa like the Indians.

Btw ACTECO engines were exported to FIAT 10 years ago. Volvo's are now exported from China and the brand is Chinese owned. That's the only real way to sustainably export to Europe. Not some one off fetish.

It started the development of NCAAP China to improve testing and safety, I saw that documentary on how CNCAAP is now more stringent that European ones. The Chinese safety engineers were only exposed to JV safety standards, and those fcker deliberately lowered the standards for cars made in China. Now Honda got only 3.5 stars when in Europe they got 5, they had to redesign their Chinese Honda's to meet standards. That's a revolution.

Chinese companies alone (JV excluded) produce more than 12,000,000 cars per year and all run on the roads here everywhere and everyday with no major issues (a lot of them work as taxis in majority of cities here). Some people here are just too ignorant...
