What I heard it is very difficult art. I like to see balloon twerking. I don’t think it is easy as it seems
I should look for some place privateWhat I heard it is very difficult art. I like to watch balloon twerking. I don’t think it is easy as it seems.
Very very difficult Art I think !!
We should introduce belly dance in Pakistan better than mujra. It’s art too.
Here is Egypt belly dance. Atleast better than mujra, mujra has no art while belly dance does.
I must appreciate both art , both going neck to neck . such Egyptian belly dance and balloon twerking. But belly dance is wonderful to watch for longer time. The amount of Fitness required cannot Go Hand in Hand with nihari dahi ballay biryani and karhai

Belly dance originates from Middle Eastern and Northern African countries (such as Egypt and Turkey) but is now a global phenomena. While it can be enjoyed by people of all ages and is a wonderful form of fitness as said by retired troll member here. Look this dance is also fluid and open to self-expression. How wonderful!!Bottom line every culture has it...
Some call it
belly dancing - proof on the thread
Desi Mujrah - proof on the thread
Spanish Flaminco - they do it with class but it is a low level mujrah....they also do the leg steps...just put them thick anklets that mujrah people wear and viola you got it going!
Then you have Rumba:
Born among black slaves on sugar plantations, Cuba's rumba
That i agree @tps77 @RealNapster
This is just one of many societal ills our people suffer from due to being spiritually defunct on a National level. The degeneracy being promoted in our "free" media (including Pakistani film/music industry which is only ten years behind Bollywood in terms of explicit material) is only exasperating the problem by normalizing it. People overlook the media impact in desensitizing our society to shameful behavior which only some 25-30 years ago would have caused strong reactions from the general population. Is there any way to stop this? Why this mujra thing is more common in cenral Punjab and sairaki belt aka southern Punjab. I got chance to attend some marriages and they hired vulgar dancers to entertain the male crowd which had kids in them and these idiots were dancing madly and were throwing money at half naked dancers which ruined all good experince. Our Punjabi stage dramas already have this shit vulgar dances and dialogue where actors often make dirty jokes about sisters and mothers of each others and now we have taken this shit into weddings. It gives bad name to beautiful culture of Punjab and Sairaki where great sufi poets came from. It may be entertainment for some people but you have dozen others ways to entertain yourself than acting as tamash been and wasting money on such useless stuffs
Need to throw up.What I heard it is very difficult art. I like to watch balloon twerking. I don’t think it is easy as it seems.

Its not common in our photohar region as well but if you look most videos in youtube then they are mostly from saraiki belt and central Punjab which also bring most of these vulgar stage actor and actress
I think this is common in certain areas of Punjab. Does it have anything to do with harem culture imported from Mughals etc or cultural influence from bollywood?
Our area near Khushab/Mianwali is a huge no go zone for this type of crap in weddings. Unless you want to get shot that is. Here, women dress like they're in FATA or tribal areas and weddings are segregated. No dancers, just a few drums, flutes etc.
You didn't look then for then, Jhelum, Chakwal videos are all over the internet. Just search with district name "....... wedding dance"
Mianwali are more in to khusras, like this wedding. Love when people who never went to punjab rural areas talk about it. Or those who are just have punjab origin.
In many hollywood movies, I've seen something called Bachelor's party in which groom's friend bring stripper and party. I always found that as an equivalent to our Mujras in wedding(minus the kids part).
Then there are strip clubs where guys throw money at strippers etc.
How do westerners oppose it? I don't know.
Now about us, how to get rid of them? Answer is pretty simple: Islam. And that's coming from an Agnostic.
Sleaze bags.. meh
Ive been... usually ends at some drunk chacha trying to score.yeah its more or less same. In cities like Islamabad or Lahore whole families learn dance steps. In rural areas some invite transgenders or girls to dance in male only function as family women are not allowed to watch them.
Never been to any wedding like that but I'm not going to act like that doesn't happen in my district.
