Is votebank politics allowed in choosing greatest indian.

Not sure about votebank but politics was allowed in choosing greatest Indian as Gandhi was given the "bye" and chosen as the greatest Indian without allowing him to go through the rigors of critiquing his actions. The topic is misleading as this is about "Greatest Indian after Gandhi" poll.

. . . .
The greatest Indians acc. to me....

1. Swami Vivekananda: who let the world first know that India has much more to offer to the world than tangible wealth...It is not a place to plunder only, it has a SOUL of its own.....
Through his speech in Chicago the world for the first time came to know about the unique spiritual characteristics of India....and he presented it in such a manner that the so called 'first world' countries had to accept it instead of discarding it as worthless 'third world' sh**......
Such is the power of Speech....

2. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose: The only leader who had a concrete vision about India and would have succeeded in making it a reality had the Indians not betrayed him...... today's corrupt India is a result of that betrayal....

3. Rabindranath Tagore: The first Nobel Prize winner in Asia....showed the world the richness of Indian Languages and Literature....

4. Jagadish Chandra Bose: played important role in the invention of Radio and microwave optics....he is among the top 10 scientists of the world...

5. Satyendra Nath Bose: Co-theorist of the particle that changed Physics...

6. C. V. Raman: Nobel Prize winner for 'Raman Effect' in Physics.....

7. Amartya Sen: Nobel Prize winner in Economics...
