Vloggers having a road trip in Tibet found every Tibetan herder family in the grassland has one exactly the same white pickup truck in this region, they got very curiou and stop to ask some kids why every family owns one same truck, they bought these trucks or these trucks were given to them by the government, but because of the language barrier in the end they still didn't get the anwer, they only thing they figured out is these pickup trucks were made in Beijing by Beijing Jeep.

I m Ok with the government providing free education, free food, free healthcare, free houses to poor Tibetan farmers, those are neccessities that everyone should have, but if the government gives every family there a car, that's too much, a car is not a neccessity, people can live without them.

Well, according to someone, this will destroy the Tibetan culture because Tibetans would rather ride a yak... Or the pick-up truck should be made like a yak according to someone in this forum...lol...

Not sure about Tibetans, but most of herdsmen family in China's Inner Mongolia have pick-up trucks or more than one cars per family, bought by themselves...

Trucks are a necessity out in Tibet. It is very vast and density very low. It can be a matter of survival.

They survived thousands of years without pickup trucks, but as long as they paid for those trucks it's all good, what I m against is the government giving those trucks to them for free, which is very likely since every family has the exactly same truck with same color..
