yes, they are bunch of political appointments from ANC's MK cadres. rubbish moves to the top. That is why i left. There is now a fresh air of innovation with the same spirit of the 70/80s/early 90s. I might go back to one of the new innovators.1st two picks those two African officials don't have much professional body language. Just saying
i see there is so much potential to sell so many different types of small field weapons. I see your arms industry stuck in the past for a very long time. Just remember we have so many different arms companies in SA that are now geared for export and R&D.
We are in process of doing exactly that.I am tired of seeing POF modifying G3 to a different type. Its time for Pakistan to get rid of G3's & go for new modern assault riffles.
PA and POF are doing just fine as far as small arms are concerned. We have worked extensively in the G3s and have developed variants that meet our requirements and not just those of the army but other LEAs as well. That said, PA and POF are both looking towards the future and plans are in motion to replace the entire soldier level weaponry. We will be replacing our Type 56 and G3s very soon. Trials have been conducted with extensive testing over a period of a year or so. These have concluded now and business negotiation are ongoing. FN SCAR, CZ BERN and ARX from Beretta are very much in picture with CZ BERN and FN SCAR having the most chance. The deal will include ToT, local production and authority and license to make and export these guns to third party. Similarly the hand guns, squad machine guns and other firearms are also being looked at. In short, I see that PA have covered its basis as far as these arms are concerned.i see there is so much potential to sell so many different types of small field weapons. I hope you are aware of the ongoing process for replacement of G3 an Type 56 guns. Trials have been concluded and business negotiation are going on. We will hear about the finalized deal soon and will go from there. Also with the up gradation plans at POF, the small arms factory will be taken to the next level.
BERN is almost finalized in the x39 category. As I have heard, Czech & Pakistan have to come to an agreement on full ToT of CZ Bren to Pakistan & FN Scar deal is still going on. Whats the update on FN Scar?
Denel will likely make way more out of Pakistan's armoured vehicles, artillery, air-to-ground munition, air-to-air munition and surface-to-air munition needs. It would be interesting though if Denel, Paramount, PAC, GIDS, ID, etc, can collaborate (bilaterally or multilaterally) on UAVs, light aircraft, aerostructure work (e.g. composites), etc.i see there is so much potential to sell so many different types of small field weapons. Yes without any reason how much u modified it won't go to off it's limitsI am tired of seeing POF modifying G3 to a different type. Its time for Pakistan to get rid of G3's & go for new modern assault riffles.
Sir jee collaboration at this level, cooperation at such high tech things like light fighters and combat UAVs, information and technology sharing on these and co development needs serious diplomatic clout and persuasion. Sadly, our current political leadership is more concerned about Panama than about Pakistan and in this scenario I do not see us being able to convince a country like South Africa (with serious Indian influence) to co-develop such equipment. However stranger things have happened and you never know, but logically speaking, looking at the things at hand, I would say that IFVs, APC, artillery is pretty much all we can work on.Denel will likely make way more out of Pakistan's armoured vehicles, artillery, air-to-ground munition, air-to-air munition and surface-to-air munition needs. Just set the expectation and keep repeating it. You never know, some important people might pay heed.Sir jee collaboration at this level, cooperation at such high tech things like light fighters and combat UAVs, information and technology sharing on these and co development needs serious diplomatic clout and persuasion.
