Residents living at borders Vietnam and China didn’t need that in the past they just walked across. There was no border fence at all, least electrified bar wire fence. it’s the chinese that changed the status quo. The fence cuts thru families. Something happened in their heads. Wait for another month. The PLA will come and lay mines.

Its a matter of sovereignty. Chinese can do whatever they like on their side of the border.

If some people/families have found themselves divided, they'll have to live with that or migrate to the other side.

Ah some opinions from some posters don’t change facts on the ground. Sure, chinese illegals enter Vietnam I don’t know why maybe they seek hideout before chinese tax authorities? Or Viet foods are better? Vietnam is at least 20y behind China in economic development, even 10y behind Thailand. We have a long way to go.

Probably we have said something. Chinese are like babies they are very sensitive people. There is a saying once the water is shed then everything is too late you can’t undo it.
Years ago I once said something out of anger to a university classmate he comes from Shanghai. Ok bad, our relationship since then was forever destroyed. In western culture it’s ok to say something critics however in eastern civilization it’s a death sin. I can recommend your people in Pakistan, be sensitive, even you are now best friend of CN.
