What's new

Vingroup lost USD1 billion last year in manufacturing due to poor sales of VinFast vehicles, EV investments

Vinfast is a very brave business plan, I believe the owner of the group is a very nationalist person

They are government front man. They will later announce "I donate all monies to charities" because they cannot take out these monies. Then government will send their managers to manage the charity and after some financial engineering, everything will be transfer to state.

.
The loss is expected. You can’t make money immediately.
Nice excuse and consoling.. :enjoy:

That is not what you all say in first place. You all brag how good quality is this car and how many are going to be sold once it's on the market. Blah blah blah..

Then hit by reality and start give excuse already. I can bet after 10 years still losing money, u all will claim it's is expected to lose for continuous for 10 years.

Well the owner of Vinfast said losses are to expected in the first few years of operation, you don't know this because of reasons you already know.

I can guarantee you Vietnamese people will always choose Vinfast over cheaply built, unreliable Chinese knock-off. This is no brag, it's just reality. Actually, barely anyone buy Chinese cars, and if they do, they don't even dare to show the logo and have to replace the logo with European ones. Vinfast is consistently spending precious time nurturing their customer base and above all, reputation, something Chinese cars are not known for anywhere in the world, despite the amount of time they spent on building it. Chinese cars reputation outside of China is at same level of Indian tech support (please correct me if I am wrong), so let's save the big guy's insecurity and do something about it.

Another sourgrape comment. Chinese EV are world class. That is why Tesla decide to come to China and build factory. The only cheap and knock off is your made in Vietnam thrash which nobody wants. Look at all EV sales, how many Chinese EV sold? U can get emotional and talk trash but facts don't lie! Go some corner and cry hard. Even the smartphone or PC you used for trolling is made in China. :enjoy:

I am not the one that gets emotional in a thread about Chinese cars, am I? How about some self-awareness here. Why do you feel the need to prove anything to us, if Chinese cars as good as you claim it to be? Tesla comes to China is because government incentives and their tremendous investment in the local ev industry, but it's like Chinese football. One-eyed man, the land of the blind's king. They have numbers, I give you that.

Lol.. how are u not emotional when u think the current made in Vietnam stuff can be better than made in China especially when u are trolling with made in China smartphone?

You think other countries are dumb not to offer the same incentives like China? Why not admit becos of superior China supplier chain, a discipline and smart work force at lesser cost compare to Japan and German workforce? On top of that, world class facilities which ensure fast shipment out to rest of the world. Ask @Viet why vinfast get troll and u can get the answer.

There are worse traitors in China doing 贸工技 until now and keep selling off China secrets, forgoing key technologies so that competitor can make monies. He survive and prosper. I dont see why Vinfast cant.

Malaysia Proton and Perodua can also,

Oh I am sure we are grateful for the all electronic equipment that are all designed with Western technologies and cheap Chinese labors, something that Chinese people are so proud of. However we are just talking about Chinese cars here, please don't divert the conversation. Once again, I can't talk for anyone else, but in Vietnam its reputation is questionable. If you think I am lying to you then that's fine too, I am happy to see you are so supportive of your car industry, despite.

If Vietnam can put a working rover on Mars in 10 years time. I eat back my words. :enjoy:

China Mars mission is called world class products which represent made in China standard. Zero error of margin and 100% work as it shall. That is why you are talking with emotion instead of using facts with your made in China. :enjoy:

As someone who like to draw pointers from history ,I just can't bet on any success of Vietnam's over-exerting global ambitions. History has shown this nation has always carried ambition greater than its forte, don't know their own capabilities and limits. Vietnam sought to be the dominant power of southeast Asia as prophesized by Ho Chi Min ,only to be reminded of their place by China in 1979. Then Vietnam who antagonized SEA nations ,suddenly started courting SEA nations and joined ASEAN to save their own skin.
Vinfast might just do well enough in their homeland due to gov subsidy and market protection ,but that's the most I would bet on.

Ouch sorry I shouldn't have mention the Indian tech support. I understand it's well-intended, but thank you.

Can you find a labor cheaper than those from the jungle vn?:rofl::rofl:
Learn something first before B.S. here...
Tesla are just some four wheels on Chinese batteries, they use CATL batteries, which is the core tech for any EVs.
Chinese EVs such as BYD are everywhere in the world.

Vinfest lost money because it was focusing on increasing production. The idea is to make more money later.

Cheap China labour? You are still a frog in the well. Take a mirror and look at your vietnam face before you claim China cheap labour. I am wondering how thicked is your skin. :enjoy:
