cheap is only the price. Vinfast buys the technology from BMW. you should wish VN success. the car plant is located at Haiphong, not so far from China border. we will import lots of from chinese car component makers.

This is a very good looking car. Better than most of Chinese car. If Vietnam able to use mainland China huge manufacturing network, combine with Vietnamese local ideas, I believe Vietnam car will became one of the world greatness.

It is a good design car.

To be frankly, it is not easy to make high quality car, it requires long experience. The high quality car is not only good design and premium material, but also precision with low problem rate comparable with the top notch car.

Hope they do not use chinese parts...german design chinese parts and viet manufacturing ..n some parts from indonesia..will be a bad combination.
Cars are to be built by the manufacture with a huge r n d budget so they come out with unique products.using parts from everyone jus gets u a assembled car.

A car has about 10,000 components. It is impossible for us to make everything from A to Z, less for a country as Vietnam that is new to large scale mass production of cars. Importing car components from China and Indonesia is not an issue at all, all they need is to meet required specifications and prices.

We make cars invested by Vietnamese money, assembled Vietnamese screwdrivers, designed by an Italian company, with technology coming from Germany BMW and Bosch, with a CEO from America and ...high quality steel probably coming a Taiwanese company Formosa Plastics Vietnam. Formosa apparently believes to Vietnam success, the company just announces to double the current output capacity. Although no details provided but I think it will go from 22.5 million tons per year to 45 million tons per year. To put it in perspective: the steel capacity of Formosa alone will surpass the entire steel output of Germany with 43 million tons per year.

Last year i had been to vietnam...indeed a beautiful country.
I have seen a lot of big industries jus outside major ciries.i will still like vietnam to build major components of the cars..i personally will like vietnam to keep out chinise n indonesian components out...if want to use use german or italian or japanese components.

most components will be delivered by Bosch Vietnam, so not from outside. I just check the latest. the construction makes fast progress. rice fields everywhere, but production should start next year, first with electric motorbike model then followed by automobiles.
