The thing is Bangladesh's economy is mostly based on export of RMG and Remittance which is quite a drawback. Bangladesh might see decline in the RMG sector in the future due to rising cost.

It is high time for Bangladesh to become a service oriented nation.

The distinct design of Vinfast is actually in its front lamp, but for me that front lamp is the biggest negative point, with that small front lamp it has, look like the lamps dont create sufficient light to make it safe enough to drive during night time.

Yup, that video shown by Viet is assembly like CKD or IKD (Completely Knock Down or Incomplete Knock Down). I dont know whether BMW let Vinfast to manufacture their engine in Vietnam. Similar like Malaysia Proton which uses Mitsubishi engine, I think the engine is not made in Malaysia, but Malaysia Proton just assembly the engine.

Usually a principal will put engine manufacturing on one country as their manufacturing base, just like Toyota Indonesia engine factory that export many of the engines to many Toyota assembling facilities across Asia. That picture that I have shown is steel engine block, Toyota Indonesia also has casting plant for aluminium engine block.

Looks complicated. Can be the case Vinfast just assembles components together into finished engines. It’s impossible to make everything at the beginning.

When an engine is fully built in your two countries there is every possibility that they will not be highly regarded by foreign countries. Hence, the export market will remain limited. Only lovcal market with hundreds of complaints.

Producing the correct alloy for the engines require a long term experience.

You are right about Toyota producing engines for some of its models in Indonesia. Toyota had seen the potential of your country with so many natural resources to build manufacturing plants there.

On the other hand, Nissan has selected a land even in Myanmar. However, because our country's people are big-talking and do-nothing, therefore, no such companies ever think of investing in our country. It is unfortunate, but cannot be helped unless the govt and people change their mindset.

Proton can’t be compared with cars of VF. Malaysia makes cheap cars. If we follow Malaysia step we would fail. Vinfast invest $3.5b in the car factories. That’s big sum. Big bet. There are numerous car part manufacturers in immediate surroundings. With the time I think we can almost make everything. Certainly we will continue relying on imports but who not?
