During a meeting with charge d’affaires ad interim Li Zhimin of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam on 15 June 1956, Vice Foreign Minister of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam Ung Van Khiem solemnly stated that, “according to Vietnamese data, the Xisha Islands and Nansha Islands are historically part of Chinese territory.”
Le Loc, Acting Director of the Asian Department of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry, who was present, specifically cited Vietnamese data and pointed out that, “judging from history, these islands were already part of China at the time of the Song Dynasty.“
You basically copy and paste from this site The Operation of the HYSY 981 Drilling Rig: Vietnam's Provocation and China's Position
This is a chinese government website (a very bias source). The particular passage that you lift off the website without citing. Even in that article, there is no source for it. It maybe true. It maybe not. But this fall under he said this, she said that. Who is this Le Loc. I don't know. Do you know? And this particular event, what is the documentation? What is the proof that he said this? Primary source? An article dated back to 6/15/56??? Where, I don't see one? Was it voice recorded??
I don't really care for this debate, so I won't be further replying to this. But come on, try a bit harder than copy and paste. At least, do some work and provide the primary source.
