We are not a "recently created entity" like the Soviet Union or India, that can't handle even a handful of downturns, before breaking up into their constituent parts, as you guys already saw in the "first" Partition of the Indian subcontinent.

Other British creations are breaking apart as we speak, including Sudan (North and South Sudan) and Iraq/Syria which have been "de facto" partitioned in recent years, with much of their former territory a part of IS now. Partitions of British creations just keep multiplying.

I don't think so. Viet becomes part of China? China has to add 100 million low income minority people? Also there will be a lot of intermarriages between Chinese and Vietnamese inside one united country. Ask any ordinary Chinese, if you want to be looked like a Vietnamese? 99.9% you will get the same answer as the question on unification of two countries.

Back to the topic, basically most worried countries on vietnam's new toys are definitely not China, it should be Vietnam's ASEAN peers.
