Modi is a clever politician and a brilliant orator (Although sometimes fumbles with history). He hardly speaks anything anti Pakistani while his speeches mainly centres on key development issues. Equaling him with Hafiz does not fit well in this argument.

I remember recently someone posted about his speech in some South indian province where he present a powerful anti-Pakistan & anti-Sri Lankan speech. You can see Pakistani election results & compare it with indian current trend. No religious party won any seats in Pakistan all over Pakistan except JI which is anti-Pakistan even before 47(remember JI is the same party who oppose Pakistan's independence & supported india).

Even in India,chances for BJP to win a convenient majority are too grim. They have to depend on regional parties to get close to the magic number inspite of the Modi madness we usually witness in the media and on line forums. If BJP manages to achieve something substantial in the next election,it will be not because of the unwanted rise of Hindu nationalism but UPA's corruption and development issues.

Indians should stop being apologetic. As @Roybot said, this is a democratic country, every one has right to protest. But if VHP protestors cause violence then they should be severely dealt. I don't support violent protest by anyone, whether it is from VHP or from Muslim fundamentalists in Tamil Nadu.

Another point to be noted is that the protest is because he is from PAKISTAN, not because he is Muslim.

For Pakistani members, there is difference between protest by some people and entire media Pakistani media ranting for months to ban Indian channels and movies asking the GOVERNMENT.

Will you guys also condemn British Muslims chanting Death to British Soldiers ? Oh no, you will say its their freedom of speech.

Also aren't there ongoing discussion in Pakistan whether to talk with TTP and considerable majority wants it ? Can I take this as a country's basic characteristic.

Modi is a clever politician indeed and i dont think so he will do anything stupid viz a viz Pak-China when come to power even SL unlike many Indians are hoping.
