Veteran film actor Shammi Kapoor passes away

MUMBAI: Veteran film actor Shammi Kapoor passes away on Sunday at the age of 79, Times Now reported. Shammi Kapoor was in Breach Candy hospital, Mumbai last week and was on ventilator support. Kapoor was suffering from chronic renal failure.

Hailing from the famous 'Kapoor family', Shammi Kapoor starred in films like 'Junglee', 'Tumsa Nahin Dekha' and 'An Evening in Paris'.

Shammi Kapoor, a prominent lead actor in Hindi cinema during the late 1950s and 1960s, won the Filmfare Best Actor Award in 1968 for his performance in 'Brahmachari'.
