Whether there was a temple or not will be decided by ASI, although it's pretty clear from the walls of the Mosque that its constructed after demolishing the temple. Once they will submit the reported court will decide, and sooner or later this Mosque will be gone.

Banaras itself is 3000 years old city so a 400 years Mosque is like a newly born and significance is irrelevant for the city.
Regarding Indian Muslims, they are free to protest. Most probably the temple which was destructed is older than this Arabic religion to which this existing structure belongs

1. The Kashi Vishwanath temple exists - It was built by Maharani of Holkar. Hindus regularly visit it to worship.

2. The place where the Gyan Vyapi mosque now stands, was a temple. It was destroyed by Aurangzeb on the request of the King of Nepal whose daughter was raped by the temple priests during her visit there. Members of the deprave society will surely relate to this.

Believe me this time even Indian courts will not take that much time and you are right Muslims are open to go to courts .

India is what it is and regarding Indian Muslims, they missed the bus in 1947. and they are free to protest . As of now, its courts will decide the Gyan Vyapi, and regarding Ayodhya, the only thing it proves is even if it will take generations still Karma will catch up, and regarding Indian Muslims, it's their wish their decision they are free to go where they feel comfortable. Even you can sponsor some of them to UK or Pakistan , they cane ven take their Mosques with them
