I am, believe me.It is my job as a mod and as vice chairman of Think Tanks to make things easy for them and to have relevant to the context discussion. If I issue ban to them than they will be running around into other forums hence wasting bandwidth and talking nonsense against us.Look at them, how they are over-reacting for this decision.Have you seen any foreigner in Indian sanctum where similar case is discussed by Indian posters. They are even publically warning of forceful marriage to the couples.Who commented on it? What comments were made by our foreigners? Heck even Indians come here to 'teach' us for how to run country, what we must ban and what we not?
Besides, what is wrong with imaginary kaafir kebabs? Is it worse than forceful marriage?

regards
well bro i agree with you i too am against the selective bashing of Pakistan while India is getting away with the forceful marriage threats
but i think the reason behind Pakistan getting the bashing from the internationals and India getting away with it is because one of our state's institute is getting involved in the private issue.while in India state is not the one issuing the forceful marriage threats its their extremist groups that are harassing the public there.

i knew that these kaafir kebab comments were just light hearted trolling by you:enjoy: but we don't want to strengthen the stereotypes of the people unaware of the fact.
have a nice day

Stick to your own culture.

Take the good and reject the bad.

Valentines day is a bit of a farce nothing more than a money making event for corporate organisations.

With respect to public affection it's once again down to your own cultural norms and you shouldn't copy others especially the West where we have forgotten some sense of decency with many things. Ill give you a quick example:

In France it's perfectly normal for guys to kiss women as a form of a greeting...usually 3 quick kisses.

If you attempted this with an English woman expecting nothing more than a handshake you'd get a punch in the face.

Every culture draws the line differently some more conservative thab other's and people of understanding will respect that.

Finally certain individuals are very good at a game of verbal ping pong so I'd let them be.
Thx for the warning. In the Netherlands we do as in France....

Don't get me started on Valentine's Day. It's a phone holiday created by various corporate interests to increase sales of candy, jewelry, flowers, and greeting cards. And it's a one way: from men to women, not the other way around. The only thing men worry about during Valentine's Day is how much its going to cost them!

You have to ask yourself: do you really need a holiday to express your love for your partner? The answer is a big, fat NO!

that is what i have been trying to explain to @gambit, all societies are different and we should be fair to all of them.

Islamabad High Court has banned Valentine’s Day celebration all across the country today.

The court passed an order regarding this after hearing a petition calling for Valentine’s Day to be banned since it is not part of Muslim tradition.

The court order states that any Valentine’s day related activities and festivities will not be allowed to be held in public places. The order also imposed a similar bar on official level as well. The media, both electronic and print, have been cautioned against giving any coverage to the ‘day of love.’

The information ministry, PEMRA chairman, Federal government and chief commissioner have all been directed to submit a reply in this regard within the next 10 days.

Valentine’s Day has no connection with our culture and it should be avoided,” Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain

It should be mentioned that last year, Mamnoon Hussain also stated that Valentine’s Day has no part in our culture and that it is a western tradition that we could do without.

Good and now it will revert back from our origin and all this Jahiliyah celebration will be end soon

Al-Bayhaqi reported in his Sunan that Anas Bin Maalik رضي الله عنه said: “When the Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم came to Medina, the people had two holidays from the days of Jahiliyyah.” He صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم said: “When I came to you, you had two days which you used to celebrate in Jahiliyyah. Allah سبحانه وتعالى has replaced them for you with better days, the days of slaughter (Adhaa) and the day of fitr.”

Well said!! Hopefully that'll hit some nerves to start thinking clearly!

Great decision by IHC, but one can't stop the liberal fascists and western agents from pushing against t. This is how rotten some elite circles in Islamabad, Lahore & Karachi have become. Most important is to stop the stupid morning shows as well as traitor channels like Geo that should be instructed by Pemra not to telecast it.

I know that over here it depends on the regions,it can be 2 like 3 or 4. I couldn't tell how embarrassed I felt when after two 'kisses',the other woman was standing here waiting with her cheek. Took me some times to understand.
