Of around 200 mn people, is there anyone anyone to challenge this 'open debauchery' and 'rape' of a nation. Is there one sane person who could do the needful to finally establish big 'no' to corruption, sedition and nepotism? Is there any end to our collective 'beghairti'?
The answer is a resounding 'No'. There is none. We as a nation let Zardari move to stoneage, a feat US could only threaten about. Our establishment aka guardian angels stood silent as each one of national institutes were destroyed. What was left to be defended, a hollow rotten piece of land full with misery, death and poverty? The mythical transformation from Constitutional elitism to famed 'rule of masses' a myth indeed for which countless sacrifices of human necks at altar of political power maneuverings, lack of basic necessities due to corruption and larger benefit were made. To what end? The common man remains fodder to the system. His life and honour is safe subject to whims of powerful and rich around him. No amount of shaming is enough to set the direction right of our Justice system including the highest Judiciary. Is there anyone who has an iota of faith left in our Judiciary? Powerful kill innocent in broad day light, go away unscathed brandishing victory signs. Mega corrupt are set free as political settlements. Criminals parade in streets with full state security, pomp and get crowned by same masses they have kept in a perpetual state of mental slavery, poverty and destitution. Who will give the account of a mother who died while giving birth because the local wadera or MNA never thought it pertinent to use funds for a hospital, or a boy killed in gang wars orchestrated by political mafias or a child because of unavailability of food or ventilators. Are they dispensible, 'kuttay' 'billay' marked for death? Who will answer? The 'Jamhuriat ke tattoo' or the 'guardian angels in Khaki'? Is it just a bloody number, a sacrifice at altar of 'God Democracy' which will bring the much awaited rains?
