Uttam AESA radar progressing well

The timeline for this variant has been set at 2017, two years from now. The AESA radar will be supplied by Israel’s ELTA Systems, a subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). ELTA had earlier supplied its AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning & Control) system for IAF’s IL-76 based Intelligence and surveillance aircraft, designated by IAF as AWACS (Airborne Warning & Control Systems) aircraft.

Rest of the informations are read on some blog and it is very difficult to find the references now.

This will help:

Quartz Nose Cone Increases LCA's Multi-Mode Radar's Range to 80+ Km - SP-2 Coming up Next Month | Page 3
this i know about .....what i wanted to know the sources for ranges of elta AESA at what RCS
Yes but that is a big advantage. Current MMR of tejas has a bigger Radar which consumes more energy upto 10 KVA compared to old Gripen but gives higher range which is an advantage.
what MMR has to to do with Gripens rader ??...............here we are talking of MMR and AESA ....AESA radar will consumes more power compared to MMR.

Having bigger rader which will detect at 400 km like sukhoi will be bigger heavier will consume more power which will not be available in tejas ..............elta MMR has range of 150 km for 5m2 ,,,,,uttam AESA 100 km for 2m2 is highly respectable.....

yes it will be better if has more range but 400 km is impossible

Hari bhai, radar range is directly proportional to the power output and efficiency of cooling system provided. It may also depend on no. of TR modules. Though no. of TR modules will mainly help in volume search.
LCA has limited power and also Indian cooling system is still not as efficient as Western radars.
To start with 100km for 2m2 target is quite good. It will be 140 km for a standard 5m2 target.

Tejas already has a bigger nose cone than even Rafale. MK1+ is planned to be equipped with a very long range AESA of israeli make. Even current MMR has a bigger range i think.

Got these numbers from different forums, not sure if these are correct.

Rafale cone is 21.65 inches
LCA cone is 19.68 inches.

Even Thales radar is having high number of transistor receiver modules than uttam, its speculated that rbe is having 800+( exact figure is classified) while uttam Is only having 184 quad elements.

94 km range is for 2 sqkm rcs. Also there wouldn't be any problem increasing T/R modules and thus range but then Tejas's small nose cone cant accommodate same IMO.

Here is the proof of it, It says 94km for 2 sqkm target.

Typo: I meant sqm not sqkm. lol

2 Msq not 2 sqkm

Yes,

I remember reading this on some forum and I am unable to find the sources.
