By My AssessmentWell I do understand that, but to have engagements at a range of 60KM you need a detection range of 150 KM, it takes time to detect and recognize friend/foe, get required go ahead for engagement, get to appropriate altitude.. blah blah ...
What I am trying to say is does Tejas perform/ facilitate its radar to perform at the max possible performance specified by elta?
Note with Tejas huge nose cone it should in ideal case. which is 150 KM for 3M2 (If I remember it correct) in A2A.
Antenna diameter 650 mm
Antenna gain 33 dB
TWT Power Output 6.5 kW (increase-able to 10 kW, 10% duty cycle)
Improved Radar Range of Lets take Middle figure of 90 km against 2m2 target then it will be 110 KM+ for 5m2 Target
Which Good Range Compared Low observable LCA .RDY-2 of M2k has Same range which have 1/3 Larger RCS than LCA in theory
True range will be Still Classified
