The price for all those military toys was your own sovereignty. The Tiran ans Sanafir islands is proof of that. I cant comprehend how you can just give away land like that, dont you have any pride?

External debt is what matters . Turkey external debt is over than 400 B$ which is about 4 times the Egyptian one .

So what ? you can find such things on any state

Turkey increases electricity price by 15 percent, a second one after elections

So Greece will have fleets of F-35 Lightning II, but not Turkey. Not a good news for Turkey's air force.

Considering DoD of the US is urging its companies to drop Turkish companies from the F-35 Lightning II supply chain and the complete explusion of Turkish firms from the program will happen soon or later, I feel that this would turn into a missed opportunity for Turkish defence firms and their defence industry as they were projected to receive more than $US9 billion in orders and few parts were exclusively made by Turkish firms.

However, it is said that Australia might benefit from Turkey's removal from the program as Australian firms are hoping to get more orders for the program.

"Australian Strategic Policy Institute director of defence and strategy Michael Shoebridge said Turkey's removal was an opportunity for Australian companies, which could offer continuity of supply from a reliable ally."

However, I am sure this won't be the end of the world for Turkey. Their UAV and helicopter programs are successful so far and the country's aerospace industry has a bright future ahead.

Because Egypt don't steal lands that not belongs to it , it was a deal after a technical negotiations .

But Turkey is ok to take Syrian lands and trade Syrian oil with ISIS .

I think the state of economy of both countries has little to do with Turkey's replusion from the F-35 Lightning II program. However, I could be wrong.

Even then I like to point out there is a significant difference between being bailed out by IMF and utility bills of being up by 15%. It should be very clear to everyone that which one is worse.

Egypt faced two revolutions in less than 3 years , more than 4 year of unstable country which affected heavily it's economy and debt .By the way i like Turkish economy way and hope to see a more cooperation with them :turkey:
