This is about stating the obvious but since it is fun let's do it anyway.

This will be the event of the century. USA and China will clash over Pakistan. There will be a competition on who will invest more in Pakistan. The USA-China economic rivalry will not be limited to Pakistan. Other fronts will be opened.

Edit-Add: I am serious.

Pakistan will eventually out develop India. In its current state its already cleaner and some parts well developed in comparison to India.

no one cares about Pakistan , specially not USA
Top generals will fill their pocket just to leave pakistan in more debt

It's comparatively easier for smaller geographies to develop faster as compared to larger geographies. So yes in a sense it would take a lot less resources for Pakistan to develop compared to India.

The real kicker is population size, it's extremely difficult to sustainably uplift large sections of population out of poverty. China could do it successfully due to the inherent organised strength their political structure offers, in democracies it is gradual and needs to be consistent for the effects to take hold.

Stability is the need of the hour, unless long term stability is attained any economic benefit gained will be lost.

Considering current state of affairs and rate of development it ain't happening anytime soon.
Pakistan's population is like 200 million compared to Indias's 1.4 billion, I mean Pakistan is a sparsely populated nation that had benefit of providing better resources and HDI than India. But still it couldn't do that. The only point Pakistan was figuratively doing better than India was in 1990s.
Now India is ahead almost everywhere with a booming middle class, IT industry, migrant force worldwide, Tech sector etc.
Plus in modern world the first world nations need a big market to consume and produce their goods, now that China is on the bad side of the west India is among the other business options. Apple's suppliers are already ramping up here.
India will continue to develop till it reaches a point where China is right now after a few decades.

BEIJING: China is willing to work with Pakistan’s military to deepen and expand cooperation and jointly safeguard regional peace and stability, the vice chairman of Central Military Commission said on Wednesday.
Zhang Youxia stated this during a meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir in Beijing, Reuters quoted China’s defence ministry as saying.
On the first day of his four-day official visit to China, the army chief was given a warm welcome and presented with the guard of honour at the headquarters of the People’s Liberation Army. He reviewed the smartly turned-out contingent, which was later followed by a detailed meeting with the PLA Army Commander, a press release issued by the military’s media affairs wing said.
Gen Munir and the Chinese army commander discussed matters of mutual security interests and military cooperation.
Besides discussing mutual security interests, both military commanders reiterated the need for maintaining peace and stability in the region, and enhancing military to military cooperation, Inter-Services Public Relations said.
Gen Munir also witnessed a demonstration of the operational capabilities of the PLA Army troops. He praised the high standards of training and professionalism displayed by the PLA soldiers.
During his visit, the COAS is expected to hold meetings with Chinese military leaders to further enhance longstanding relations between the two militaries, the statement said.
