And it was Bhutan that called India when they saw the Chinese building a road on the Doklan Plateau which is part of Bhutan.

Say what now? India's refusal to withdraw its 300 troops from the region is exactly what is drawing Chinese ire. Whether Bhutan actually requested Indian assistance or not is merely ancillary since China's perspective of India's maneuver is that of an unilateral decision to occupy a disputed region.

It's not just about the area ,it's a small peace of land ,there is a bigger play going on .
You may claim it's China's land but truth is
China will not find supporters other than on PDF and Chinese sites,China knows it hence the response has been only threatening and no action on the ground, because China knows if things escalate it will stand isolated.

The end result will be China will agree to pull back troops and so will India after all it's not our land.

Wrong on both counts. It is not Chinese but Bhutanese land.

1.Its not India but China who is stuck. Anything short of an outright victory will be a humiliation for China.

2. Since the territory is Bhutanese China technically cannot attack Indian territory without risking an all out war & international ramifications . As regards the success of an all out war , refer ser 1 above.

3. Doklam is in the SE part of the Chumbi valley . An area dominated by Sikkim from the West & Bhutan whose defence is India's responsibility from the East.

China is caught between a rock & a hard place.

Isn't that place a disputed territory between the Chinese and the Indians?
