What American gonna do, to bomb China if we reclaim Scarborough Shoal? This island is under China control, we can build anything we want, did we stop US from build new structure in Hawaii or Guam? China is certainly not deterred by this kind of wording threat, China will decide how and when to build, it will be determine on how the situation will be developed on SCS for this coming years.

Scarborough will be build like it or not and I bet china will put nuclear on the Scarborough island and as many HGV missile.

"Now, the United States is not a claimant in the current disputes in the South China Sea.
And we do not take a position on which claimant has the superior sovereignty claim over the disputed land features."

it is times of india, you know India is desperate to see US and China fighting each others, that weak and poor india could have some chance to dominate India ocean and keep bullying small nations in south asia !!!

One of the guys that keep correcting you every month when you keep posting every month the US has some kind of obligation to defend the Ukraine from the Russians.

Now you are going to post every month that the US said they will take action if China builds more stuff. Which was never said...but you will repeat it over and over and over and over anyway just because you read this timesofindia article.

Why would the US stop your building? The only issue we have is that the island's ownership has not been determined.
So any increase to China's territorial size simply won't be recognized by the US and probably most of the other countries in the world.
