"Australia" won't be selling the uranium. Uranium mining companies will, and they are the one who ll decide the price of uranium. And just like any other industry they need to be competitive with their pricing.

i didnt say indians come here illegally.. i said they come here, they do courses at university with no intention of actually working in that industry, and they do this to keep their visa to australia.. and then at the end of it, they switch courses to continue their stay.. and while on student visas they often work 2 jobs, they are not allowed to work over 20 hours a week, yet most of them work 60 hours.. yet they do not like to do any hard work at all, so they go for jobs such as service station attendants and taxi drivers, or work in indian resturants... this is not a racist statement, this is factual, i worked with a lot of indians and they told me how it all works and what happens.. it comes from the mouths of indians themselves.. so no i am not racist, i have not made one racist comment... and in fact, racism indicates i hate people because of their color.. i do not hate people because of their color... and i made no comment about indians color.. therefore i said nothing racist

Doesn't work that way. One of the major reasons why Julia Gillard went against the Labour PArty's uranium sale policy was the mining lobby. Australian mining companies are missing out on their share in the Indian market, to Canadian and South African companies. They lobbied hard to get this deal through. So they ll keep their price competitive.

Don't forget that Julia Gillard was propped up by the Mining industry. Remember the time when she got rid of K Rudd? Rudd was trying to pass that atrocious mining tax, next thing you know K Rudd was standing in front of the media and sobbing his heart away.

yeah i hate julia gillard.. but its not so much about the mining companies wanting this etc.. its about the australian economy.. she wants to appear successful so she can get another term in office, but most australians hate her now.. and kevin rudd will most likely come back..... half the australian parlimentarians are against selling to india, the ban was overturned very slightly.. i agree with the mining tax.. why should all australians get taxed minimum 30% yet big rich companies get taxed less?? we should tax big companies more
