We had no interest in the SCS dispute, had the Sino Indian border been sorted. The easiest border to settle for China would have been this border. Then China could have concentrated on the SCS with minimal border guards to man the Sino-India broder. But, I no longer believe this is going to happen.

The Americans are incapable of doing anything in the SCS. Having a large force and having the will to use the force directly against a powerful opponent is not something the Americans are good at. They will rachet up economic and political costs in China.

It is hurtful not because you are Indian, but because you deny to be one.
