Did we have peace before the americnas? and what is the gaurantee to have peace once they leave?

There will be no peace as long as Americans are there

in comparison yes there was more peace during taliban era then now and the course of last ten years is not helping so we must seek some other alternatives.

American invasion indeed resulted in many death and distruction but it did achieve many things.Under afghan taliban that nation had no future,there was no education,healthcare,industry or infrastructure,no freedom of speech,tv,media..anything.American interference indeed freed the nation from having to live another century in under brutal taliban.Afghanis can now dream and work for a bright future-with modern education,improving infrastructure,industries and health care-something they couldn't do under taliban.And there will be some more violence-afghan taliban animals will fight to re establish their thug rule until they bleed out(they are not even accepting any negotiations),there will be more suicide attacks,more collateral damages due to their hiding among civilians.When considering the long term future of afghanistan as a modern state with good infrastructure and industry,these attacks are a small price to pay.

No you had your peace in 70s, had you called upon UN to mediate and take charge of Afghan War officially without US Jihad helping hand things would have been different. Blame yourselves, blame US and Yes blame zia-ul-haq.

The Peace could have been achieved respectively if you Afghan people used heads and stopped fighting among tribes them-selves for mere ruling pieces of land, there should have been reconciliation and every ethnic majority/minority group should have joined to rebuild Afghanistan, I can give you examples of several nations take Germany and Japan.

well if they r now trying to engage with taliban they could have done it prior 9/11. afghanistan was war torn country it was the international community duty to help them but instead they didnot establish relations with taliban.

Maybe if taliban were not isolated 9/11 would not take place.

I'm sorry to to announce to you, Afghanistan is still there as it was when Soviets left. There has been no rebuilding, the promised billions of dollars have not kicked-in. America has achieved nothing nada zilch failed mission absolutely Zero results.

People don't realize that two wrongs don't make a right. If Afghanistan didn't have peace and prosperity under taliban then they don't have it under US either. You're gonna avoid one wrong and go for the second wrong to expect good results, is not gonna happen.
