What's new

US shoots itself in foot in Pakistan jet deal .

They have already provided you guys with over $30 billion of military and economic aid from 2001 the question now is how much more do you want?

What the US provides Pakistan is none of India's business.

May I add the 80,000 innocent lives in addition to the economic losses.

There is a misplaced sense of entitlement in Pakistanis towards American money.

They sincerely believe American owe them money, weapons and subsidies.

Which itself stem from the fact, that Pakistanis never owned up WoT. It was and remain's America's war.

They have never believed fighting against global terror networks, it once nurtured in its backyard is both its duty and responsibility.

Americans singlehandedly have been leading a charge against terrorism for past one and half decades, who should they turn to for handouts, to fight this menace?

Pakistan Has Lost 80000 People In This War And Suffered $100 Billion In Damages and Has Weakened It's Economy

Who Are You ***ndians To Judge Our Commitment

It Is The Americans Who Infact Have Been Getting A Free Lunch From Us NATO and ISAF Containers Go Through Our Ports and Roads Free of Any Charge

The US Has Been To Gutless To Send Troops To Eliminate ISIL OR Even Help Their Syrian Allies While Pakistan Has SiNgle Handedely Conducted One Of The Most Effective Counter Terror Operations In Recent Past

$30 billion is nowhere near enough. It cost the US hundreds of billions, and they only used a third of the manpower that Pakistan used, and were also using cheap foreign military bases to mitigate costs, including Pakistan. Why would you expect Pakistan's campaign to cost a minuscule amount, yet use far more man power and heavy weapons?

What ally? America has become an outright enemy. Pakistani decision makers need to wake up and face the reality.

It is better to have America as an enemy than a friend and these aren't even my words...

American actions have for years now revealed that they are towing the Indian line. It now depends on the US how far it is willing to deteriorate this relation. It seems they are willing to go all the way. Too bad for them because they cannot expect Pakistan to accept their dictation.

Pakistan will still go for these F16s mark my words after all F16s are our opium drugs.

Hi, i have a question to the americans and indians on this forum who says that was a pakistan's war .can any body explain who cam here in afghanistan pak or usa, who want to get access to central asian oil reserves, third we had a very good relation with taliban govt in Afghanistan even that was the only govt who recognize the Durand line as a border, and more who refuse to give pipe line contract to u.s we no no no that was taliban ,therfore america came here to punish them of dis obedience. We have not a single suicide attack in our history before 9 / 11 .so who is the responsible for almost daily going on terror attack america hits once time by attacks and we r facing it daily why. Becoz we made a mistake to join allaince against our neighbouring country

Why we r going for the old F 16? We have to upgrade our own jets JF 17 every advance avionics available in market we can buy and fit on jf 17 if it not possible then ask the PAF engineers to made some chanages for better combat suitable armaments thats not a big deal if we think that engine is not capable we can even buy a new engine for next block from russia ,china , or EU .world not ends on F16 and at usa

I can't be more thankful to those American congress folks. These people have done something we have been hoping for decades.

Lol
If it is US that have shot itself, why are we all crying with pain? why so much hue and cry around this?

LETS FACE IT, F16 do suit PAF like no other plane and that why we are always after them. I hope we keep working on alternatives but I also hope that we can get our hands on to these planes. The reasons have been discussed to death and there is no point in repeating them. US may be wrong in stopping the finds but they are only as wrong as the people who think we didn't required them at all.

In short, F16 was an asset from PAF and it will remain so, that is why PAF pursue that option.

Albeit i have good reasons to believe that these F-16s will eventually be delivered to us, however, even the Americans don't deny that the sanctions and have been something of a blessing in disguise for Pakistan. The likes of JF-17, Al-Khalid, Ghauris, Shaheens, Baburs and a whole lot of other equipment appeared during the embargo period.
If anything, now is the best period to reveal a few more secrets, specially a certain stand off weapon will certainly send some running back to the drawing board.

Pakistani policy makers need to wakeup and smell the coffee. No matter who comes to power in the US, rest assured we are going to see the repeat of 90s or worst even some terrorist act and the blame would be put on Pakistan to justify some sort of military action. If readers would recall the warnings of Hiliary Clinton to Pakistan when some suspect was captured in NewYork ( I dont remember his name).
Point being it does not matter how becomes POTUS, the threat to Pakistan's security from this joint Indo US nexus is very very real. Its more than a decade since we were threaten to be bombed back to stone age by this so called friend of ours. We should had awaken up to this threat than and should had done something to counter it, yet both our civilian and military leadership have done the exact opposite i.e towing the US line and getting more US hardware that puts us in rather disadvantage position. We have to secure our own interests first in Afghanistan before anyone else and the main one is to make sure we do not have an anti Pakistan government there because that would make our western border insecure. This path alone will put us on a path of conflict with US. Better to be prepared than to be caught off guard and with our pants down. Its high time we expand our strategic reach just in case shit hits the fan.

If you want US as an enemy than cut off the relations. Who stops you? Nobody can be your friend without your will.

No doubt. No matter who is in charge in the US. The relationship between Pakistan and the US is tainted. The F-16s are just a glimpse of this tainted relationship. Now you can imagine if a p!g like Trump becomes the leader of this nation. That would be a tainted relationship on steroids.

It is better to acknowledge this fact and move on.

They are already an enemy so get your facts right. Maybe you should tell your best friend to stop using Pakistani supply routes and stop putting forth ridiculous demands which are laughable.
