Ur correlations are incorrect. By testing a nuke you wont be declared a terrorist state. You will become a terrorist state if you dont abide by the terms in this US agreement and still maintain contacts and instigate terrorism in the neighbouring country.

The sanctions for Nuclear tests donot amount to complete international isolation, whereas for a declared terrorist state it does and it takes you back to the stone age.

So phuleese dont compare the two scenarios.

Its your wet dream, if U.S. claims to be an ally it would never declare Pakistan a terrorist state. Thats only Indian people's wet dream, and its India whose instigating terrorism in Pakistan's western provinces. India should be declared a terrorist state not Pakistan.

Zardari is not dumb enough to agree on anything that goes against Pakistan's intersts, Pakistanis will eat him alive if he makes this big of a mistake.

^ Not for Asia, only for Hindus because you guys are in bed with Zionists....who share something in common with you, hate for Muslims.

.
Time will tell. But I am mighty eager to know how this goes down.:yahoo: Am extremely happy with the American Policy makers. They are finally making good policies for the asian continent. :enjoy:

Too early to rejoice. This is just a proposal yet. This still has to pass. I don't think it will. Probably Obama is just pulling a tactical bunny out of his hat to put a bit more pressure on Pakistan.

.
Stop short of dragging religion into it.

We will then have to say that

Not all muslms are terrorists but all terrorist known to the world are muslims

Then what do you call those Hindus who massacared thousands (some sources even say million) Muslims in Gujrat, India in 2002?

What do you call those Hindus who were behind the Samjohta Express bombing in India?

.
Well if the people dont allow Zardari to sign the agreement. Then you might lose aid, and then the same people will go hungry and starve and then sign the agreement. So u anyways will have to sign it:victory:

I think you better start caring about the 730 mlon people living on 20 rs per day, dont worry about Pakistanies we can take care of ourselves.

I failed to understand why are we even bothered to answer these petty Indians.

if the conditions r unexceptable and against the interest of the country, we should decline the package. WE may not survive but should try our best with our own resources. and if we fail and the talibans do get control of pakistan then let the world think back and ponder over the lost chances.

. .
Do you expect the world to not take his comments seriously?
Of course, just do it in the context that the words were meant by the speaker.

Most people belonging to those countries see Americans as invaders and I wouldn't blame them.
A hostile invader or a welcome one? Chomsky argued that the U.S. "invaded", not liberated, France in WWII. Strictly speaking he was correct: invasion is objective, liberated is subjective. Not everyone shares the subjective view.

U.S. says its an ally of Pakistan but then comes up with ideas like this article suggests. Some ally!
It is vital for Pakistanis to realize that Americans are told that Pakistan is America's ally against America's enemies, not that America is Pakistan's ally against its enemies. This distinction is crucial.

Who made the US the boss of the world?
Nobody, because it is an illusion.

Pakistan was doing far better before this war on terror, and the Pakistani people are suffering the most today because Pakistan's government chose to side with U.S.
In Swat the GoP sided with the terrorists instead, and you can see what a blessing that has been. Really, the "war on terror" has been building slowly since Pakistani independence: the decisions to leave FATA alone and to employ "stateless" irregulars in the perpetual conflict with India. The denial of the rule-of-law naturally leads to unaccountability so it's no surprise that matters eventually escaped the control of the government.

Enough of that, now Pakistan has to forget about some so called "allys" and look after its own intersts
Thank you, that's exactly what Pakistan has to decide.

Pakistan can surely survive without US Aid.We did just fine during 90's and I am sure America would not want Pakistan to become another north korea.

This is excellent news. I think it is the first time that the US Congress has taken a concrete step to address India's concerns.

I wouldn't call it coercive diplomacy. I think its only fair that Pakistan agrees to certain terms and conditions before receiving such a huge amount of compensation for essentially defending itself - something that it should be doing without anybody's help in the ideal circumstances.

The US-Pakistan relations are bilateral. Putting in clauses pertaining to a third country have no place in it aside from fulfilling the role of coercive diplomacy. This is akin to putting a Kashmir resolution clause inside of the nuclear deal with India.

I do not see US aid to Pakistan working to improve anything. It does not address any of the past issues. It will outlive its use (may only be beneficial to Zardari and PPP for the time being) but aside from that, it is more of a hassle than a benefit to Pakistan and people are realizing with alarm.

.
1) You don't know for sure that Pakistan is not doing it.

2) The promise to stop doing something contains not just an admission, but an active effort of self-imposed obligation to change course to keep it from happening again without the baggage of, "We can keep doing it as long as we don't get caught."
I don't mind promising stopping everyone else from committing terrorism, but I can't promise that I would stop committing terrorism when I hadn't done any to begin with.

I can't be sure? You can't be sure! I'm damn sure, since this is an innocent until proven guilty world, not the other way round.

Basically the US is just bribing Zardari, the Pakistani people won't get to see a cent of this money.

Zardari has finally managed to sell off Pakistan. Price: $1.5Bn for the remainder period of his term.
