Even if US did not send advanced weaponry to rebels before, there were other regional states, aligned with the US policy on Syria, that did.
So I dont see how this is big news or game changer.

If anything, it could have the opposite effect of the desired outcome. News are circulating how Jordanian fighters are flowing back to their country, radicalized from the Syria conflict, and could really stir some shit up in the kingdom.
Or how Saudi fighters are going back to their country and some that go to Yemen to join up with Al-Qaeda factions there.
There are other examples, but no need to list them all.
