Also, as china is closing on us we can join a alliance for our safety or play this card against china. We need carrot and stick policy that if you bully us you will get stick and if you are friend you will get carrot.

No offence mate, but can't you just use the word China instead of adding the extra comments which only serves to stir things up. Ultimately China only deals with NK because they don't want a refugee problem, I think given a choice they would prefer to wash their hands of the messy affair because honestly NK is just one mad dog.

coming back to topic...Chinese had supported NK in 1950's to get back at Japan and USA.Now they see what a monster they have created, but now they are stuck with them..(does this remind u of any other country in our vicinity?)..

That is the reason i had mentioned in my previous post..It is an issue involving Japan,SK and more importantly China -USA..No need to Interfere in that hell-hole issue by us Indians.

India playing balanced role in Korean peninsula: South Korea

India played a 'balanced role' in the Korean peninsula to ease down the tensions between South Korea and North Korea, South Korean ambassador Kim Joong Keun said Thursday.

'India has been good friend of both the countries. It plays a balanced role in the Korean peninsula. On the part of South Korea, we have been working very closely to make the Korean peninsula stabilised,' Kim told reporters on the sidelines of a Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) programme in Kolkata.

The relationship between the two Koreas reached a new low when North Korea in November last year shelled the South Korea's Yeonpyeong Island near the disputed maritime border in the Yellow Sea, killing two marines and two civilians.

South Korea also blamed North Korea for the sinking of a South Korean warship in March last year that killed 46 sailors. North Korea denied any responsibility for that incident.

I just find it strange how US ignores China to have the exercises with South Korea and after NK lobs some bombs across comes to China and tells them to keep NK in check. World politics
