US says no ‘decisive’ change in Pakistan’s behaviour despite aid freeze

You have never been on a blacklist, ever. Among several crippling sanctions- They disallow you do any transactions "internationally" within the golbal payment platforms.

Why wait till June though?

. .

That's perhaps incorrect reporting. Every reporting in 2018 spoke about the last time you were sanctioned and said it was on a greylist. In 2015 this article says you came off a greylist https://www.dawn.com/news/1166482

Also, something interesting I read in my research...that being in 2012-2015 Pakistan went on the grey list ONLY for money laundering violations. Here's the statement "Pakistan was on the FATF watch list from 2012 to 2015, then only on issues of money laundering."

Why wait till June though?
The June timeline is to give Pakistan the time to come up with its plans, in writing, and on how they are going to adhere to the requirements of the greylist.

They are basically saying, you going to be on the greylist. The greylist means you have to do xyz actions to comply. If you come with no solutions to comply, you get moved to a blacklist. If you come with a list solutions but you don't execute- you get pushed into the blacklist. If you do comply you come off the greylist.

I hate to disappoint you. The conditions won't be met. There is nothing to bargain about our security.

We have seen much harsher sanctions before. This is peanuts. Sanctions only embolden us to be more self-sufficient.

The Americans will have to change their behavior in order to see improvement in relation with Pakistan. Pakistan won't tolerate an Afghanistan where India is roaming around freely and plotting to murder innocent Pakistanis. No red, blue or grey list can change that fact.

.
Pakistan is due to be put on Gray List FYI not Black. Secondly we have put up with American sanctions when US was sole power in the play. What makes you think that US sanctions will make a difference this time around when US is being slapped around in UN by Russia and China? Entire West dick slapped you in UNGA on Jerusalem Issue just in case you forgot that so soon. Lastly we merely need to block ALOC and GLOC for a period of few months and you will come begging on your knees. You people over estimate your value in international financial and political matters. Just remember that the day you break the last straw is the day you Americans will figure out how we make Indians dance around our middle finger despite them being 10 times bigger nation in every aspect.

Firstly, who is this "we". You are sitting in a NATO country, enjoying its lifestyle and freedoms, asking Pakistani citizens to double down, ignore and challenge the man- while being left to face the consequences you never will.

Next, all these threats about blocking this and that is no leverage. We will pay a bit more and go another route. But the terrifying sanctions we can influence after that will be backbreaking. And frankly, if you wanted to do it you would have by now.

Finally, I don't know anything about this UNGA and Isreal issue you seem to think was an earth-shattering for us. But if it made your day, I'm happy our country obliged.

Next- if you think Pakistan will ignore, it won't disappoint me as much it will Pakistani citizenry. To me it makes no sense to say throwing a red flag in the lending process, economic ratings, adding big hurdles into the financial system etc is no big deal.

Sitting in a NATO country doesn't mean that I'm not a Pakistani. I am a dual national. I also have family, a house and business in Pakistan. I frequently visit Pakistan. I do not require lectures from an Indian on my Pakistani background.

Secondly, stop lumping NATO with that disgrace called Trumpland. There is a world of difference between the two. This anti-Pakistan blackmail initiative has obviously come from India and the US to hurt the economy and the people of Pakistan. Two declared enemies of Pakistan. Some NATO countries being forced and convinced to support this measure against Pakistan doesn't mean that they designed it.

You can't threaten the people of Pakistan with your lousy grey list. You will find out soon enough like you always have. Take a hike now because you are not getting any help in Afghanistan.

We have tons of options which we will consider once the Americans enforce the grey list.

No No - when you move and sit in solitude with the people you are asking to challenge the FATF, then you would have credibility, even if it would be completely misguided. NATO is NATO, with without Trump. NATO countries are independent in their decision in this case and support. Once again- 34 out 35 felt this way ultimately.

No No No. We don't require lectures from a desperate Indian hiding in Trumpland. Besides, it is not only me who will oppose US grey list, but entire Pakistani nation already opposes these draconian measures so get your facts right. You are on the losing side of this argument so no need to convince anyone.

We frankly don't care one iota what you think and believe. Also, zero fvck is given to the grey list or any other measure the US or entire NATO takes against Pakistan. Pakistan is also a sovereign nation and will decide its own course. Like I have already said, the grey list won't deter us. We are not going to bargain on our security. As long as India is allowed to sow terror in Pakistan through Afghanistan there cannot be any meaningful dialogue.

Its not incorrect reporting. Here's another link from Reuters, they did incorrect reporting as well??

https://www.reuters.com/article/fat...ey-laundering-blacklist-idUSL5E8DG3KZ20120216

Here's another one: https://pakistancompanynews.com/mis...ndering-blacklist-alfalah-securities-limited/

And Another: https://globalecco.org/pakistan-money-for-terror

And another: http://afroeuro.org/magazine/?p=6302

You've been proven wrong.

FATF blacklisting didn't affect us much back then and it will not amount to much now, if it happens.

Just wishful thinking. This is what desperation does to people. They plead and beg.

They should make you the foreign policy head in Pakistan. Your ability to speak on behalf of the government, its people while sippin on gin and juice in the Netherlands is remarkable. You've already established sanctions mean nothing. FATF means nothing. Countries asking you to change course means nothing and Pakistan should continue in its ways. Double down on terror support/finance label.

The genius of you to dismiss FATF as having zero implications on the Pakistani economy...wow just wow. We'll see if the real foreign policy heads will take your mature advice to ignore it.

Most of the links are piggybacking off the same article. But if you feel that blacklist won't affect you based on your take and if everything else and everyone else is wrong- more power to you. Double down, tell FATF in June to take a hike and put you on the blacklist for life.

Btw, I could care less if you were on grey list or black. I'm simply going by what your media said that you had come off a Grey list from 2012-2015. Again, here is the link https://www.dawn.com/news/1166482

Mr Dar said the FATF had included Pakistan in its Public Statement (grey listing) in Feb 2012 because of weak laws and actions against money laundering and terror financing.

He said the government had strengthened the anti-terror ordinance and made it a permanent law through parliament and then removed, in collaboration with the State Bank, FATF’s concern about the Chaman border point.

LOL at Indian foreigners lecturing Pakistanis on their political and domestic affairs. What is this world coming to...

Don't get emotional. Frankly, I am your least concern. Don't hate me for stating the obvious. Whatever I, you or any Tom, Dick and Harry has to say is totally irrelevant. I understand your anger and emotions though. You obviously belong to the camp which believes that putting pressure on Pakistan can yield results. Whenever someone disputes your claims you get angry, upset and emotional. We need to look at the facts and realities. Hate to burst your bubble.

The facts are that the US is asking Pakistan to do more which basically amounts to blackmail. Pakistan refuses to do more and rightly so. Pakistan has already done more than enough. The US wants to apply pressure by putting Pakistan on the grey list. Pakistan shows a middle finger. These are the facts. Whether I'm sipping tea, gin or beer is irrelevant. Whether I sit in a NATO country is also irrelevant. I am just stating the facts as they are taking place.

Like I have pointed out. Don't think you are the only victim in this episode. The Americans are turning a blind eye and even promoting Indian terror emanating from Afghanistan into Pakistan. Tens of thousands of innocent Pakistanis have been killed due to Indian and US terror tactics. Pakistan has every right to show the US a big middle finger. You can only talk and act tough. You It doesn't mean anything.

To prove my point, history testifies that Pakistan is a resilient country. It can survive pressure and blackmail from the US. We have been sanctioned before and we came out stronger. We are not going to be cowered or blackmailed by an Indian residing in Trumpland. You will have to do a much better job at that. This time we have reliable and powerful friends who support us. You can scream, shout and cry rivers all day long. It has zero impact.

I am Pakistani first then anyone else FYI. I was born in pakistan raised in pakistan and lived in pakistan untill i was 18. I dont need certificate of loyalty from a person who elected Dumb Fukin Trumph as his president. We are an agri nation so even if you $hit bricks we wont starve due to your sanctions. If time comes i will go back and starve with my faimly who are currently in Pakistan. You seem to forget we are Pakistanis not Americans.

Secondly ALOC and GLOC is a leaverage which has been admitted even by Nato and USAF commaders. Who will give you land route? Russianss who are under your sanctions or Iranians who are also under your sanctions? Perhaps you need to google what your options are in terms of GLOC and ALOC. If Pakistan didnt opt for it then it means that we currently are not even bothered.

As for you getting Dick slapped by your NATO allies in UN over jerusalem i will leave it by emphasis on word massive dick slap. World is going back to being Bi Polar so either you Americans will lick boots of your allies or you will loose them.

My man, you have so much of pent-up anger, anger that blinds all reasoning and only lashes out with just one tune. That tune is to offset, ignore and lay blame at other's feet. In America, we would say 'you need a come to Jesus moment.' 34 out of 35 countries makes the ruling as not just a U.S. vote. Think about it- You seem to ignore it.

Not only have your friends given up supporting you in this case, but your best friend also wanted to be elected Vice Chair of the same body you dismissed as a nothing burger and whose stinging sanctions you claim do not to hurt the economy of those on the list. All hail the boy from Amsterdam; he won't eat grass for Pakistan, but sure will tell others how while eating it, it's delicious.

We get it- you are, the internet warrior, the armchair general, the chief Pakistani economist and of course part time Pakistani who knows in great detail if it hurt the last time or not. This 34 out 35 vote is all about the U.S and India picking on you.

Good day, my man. I appreciate your time.

Right, if I may extrapolate from that word salad_ which was mixed with a generous amount of copious 'dick slapping' verbs directed at us. You are saying; you refused to use your leverage even after we ceased our circa $2 billion in AID and now have made to where at a minimum through the FATF action, it's going to cost a lot more to furnish repayment of loans. Tell me, what would it take for you to execute leverage? ;)

Since you wondered what our options are - U.S. turns to other routes to supply Afghan war as relations with Pakistan fray

You are making assumptions conjuctures and ifs and butts and this and that and will and would. If we go bankrupt in next year or so then you can come back and gloat about it. So far we are not even on grey list let alone black list. We dont need your Fukin Aid so keep it and Build a fukin wall between us for all we care. We will pay more interest on loans if that means you Americans leaving us the fuuck alone in peace. As for looking for other options then let us know when you will find it. Better yet please find those routes ASAP :enjoy:. You Americans are like a plague so more distance we have between you and us the better.
