US Navy's next-generation destroyer to be build

I can tell it is a masterpiece. look at the design, looks like art of picasso. Mate this machine will be killer.

one thing we must agree post WW2, USA become techno giant. Even during cold war American tech was superior than russian. ( russian designes were rough and tough, and russia believed in quantative edge).

Mate this one machine can do a job which 10 normal destroyer can't.

I

well..i see those littoral and stealth ships and they remind of exactly this thought..but still...it is prohibitive cost..it is the cost of 2 ACs...but yup..they'll do their job just fine...

lol @ the indians here
somethings never seem to change

I'm looking forward to the rise of Asia.

And earth to America. We've killed more Americans than we can count. 32 years of threats and nothing. Hurry the **** up pussies, what's the hold up?

All you can do is talk.

Don't get him mad bro, he is a member of usa navy apparently
but in reality he is this guy:

If the Iranian Navy interferes with international trade traversing through that straight, then it will be dealt with accordingly

Well when North Koreans torpedoed the South Korean frigate and sank it last year, US navy had run away and were no where to be found. So I guess with Iranians it is not going to be any different. US has grown weak since 2002 onwards and most of its military stuff are now made by China or with Chinese components. As for Iranians the last time they got your forces prisoners not a quack came out of your capital:

Either case, we should welcome him aboard. Though I was thinking from his style and avatar that he is an Islam hater (785?), Republican neo con (hawk?) male nurse (Avatar) in his (imaginary) US navy. I could be wrong though.

longbrained,

Not a nurse, but a cardiologist serving in the USN. i wouldn't say that I'm a neo-con, just a good ole' fashioned republican. Pleasure to meet you here guys. I look forward to educational and enlightened discussions. Let's please stay to the topic and stray away from personal and libelous posts.

I've been following this forum for quite some time. Registered finally. See you all in the boards.

Best,

Come on, now, let's get real.

And they will be neutralized if they threaten us in a military scenario. There is no comparison.

In regards to the Iranian Navy, if the United States Navy wanted to it could wipe out Iran's maritime force even within a day with just 1 Carrier Battle Group. :)

My warmongering friend, there will be a time soon where the Asian countries will take over and the balance will shift from West to East.

Just wait untill China reaches hyperpower status, with its population and booming economy, their role in world politics will continue to grow. However, it remains to be seen if China will act as a world police officer just like the U.S.A has done and continues to do so. If China goes along the American trend of warmongering, I think you better sit tight and work your *** off, try and contribute as much as you can to the national GDP of your country, because the Americans will need every inch of it in the future, if they are to keep up with the upcoming Asian giants.

Besides, tough talk with all due respect, we've seen what 2 planes can do to your country and people, the so-called brave Americans. Let alone a full-scale war against an opponent equal in strength and size, opponents who will be there in the near future. ;)

Interesting times ahead, don't you agree? ;)

On a sidenote, why are you trying to be good buddies with your Indian counterparts?
Smart people you Americans are, you see opportunities and realize India will be a force to be reckoned with, so you basically increase ties with them.

It's a sign that America needs strong allies in the upcoming future, don't think Uncle Sam's economy will bear take another war or two with 3rd world countries. ;)

P.S. Impressive debt record you guys have, might want to take a look at this website.

Your referrence to the 2 hijacked planes that crashed into the World Trade Center Towers is quite insensitive, Jihad. I look forward to continued multilateral relationships between the United States and the rest of the civilized world, free of terrorist cells. I look forward to the rise of India in South Asia, as a rising regional power. It is with hope and confidence that with the current geopolitical situation , there will be rising powers that can keep a check on a hegemonic China.

It is our belief that secular and democratic India will be a balancing stabilizing factor for the Western and South Asian region. As The United States prepares to withdraw from Afghanistan to realign our strategic position in Asia-Pacific, we expect to work closely with our partners and friends of India, a nation that enjoys a vibrant democracy and an all-around strong military network.

Of course. The Republic of India is a strategic economic , military and political partner of the United States of America. India is the nation in Asia that can realistically undergo a transformation into a SuperPower. With India's technological expertise, educational preeminence (most of the MD's here in the USA are of Indian or South Asian origin, btw, lol), as well as enjoys a democratic dynamic. India's growing economy that focuses on long term achievable goals, military readiness and cultural as well as social stratification policies champions her as the next regional power. Whereas China's growth is short-term , India's growth potential is long term. As we speak, China's economic policy and 'bubble' is waning down. India, which focuses on strategy of long-term goals, has yet to reach its zenith.

A mutual defense pact between the United States of America and the Republic of India would be advantageous for both parties.

the balance of power will shift to east no doubt abt that. its actually already shifting.
he didnt even mention india in his post, so why u brought india into this.

we r not their slaves like u guys, we deal with them just like any other country. we know how to negociate with the so called superpower usa.

due to their trade deficit, india rips us off by 40 billion every year and its rising. they know they have to trade with india or else we will simply keep ripping them off.

they already owe us over 100 billion in loans. as indian banks grow huge this will also rise. usa has to trade with us or else they will make another china in the region. and they dont want another china like competition in the region. 1 china is becoming hard for them to handle.

and talking abt the debt problem, better dont wory abt that, its a 15 trillion economy with worlds largest saving, even if their debt goes upto 250% of gdp they can still keep growing and maintain superpower status. the race has just begun and u already gave the final verdict.

It benefits the United States to have a strong and robust India. Expect to see a blossoming relationship between Washington and New Delhi. India's rise as a pre-eminent regional power in the Western, South Asian region will be a counterweight to further Chinese hegemonic ambitions.

Additionally, India's secular and democratic factor relegates her as a stable power, one that will help in the maintenance of order in the region.
