US President Donald Trump described his first day in Saudi Arabia on Saturday as "a wonderful day."

"It was a wonderful day, huge investments in the United States, hundreds of billions of dollars in investments in the United States, jobs, jobs and jobs," Trump said.

After meeting Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Trump held a meeting with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Nayef.

Earlier in the day, King Salman and President Trump signed an agreement called "Common Strategic Vision" between the two countries at the Al Yamama Palace in Riyadh.

The two leaders signed a number of agreements between the two countries estimated at about 280 billion dollars, which is expected to provide hundreds of thousands of jobs in both countries, but the White House announced earlier that «the value of agreements and memorandums of understanding signed between Riyadh and Washington estimated at 350 billion dollars in 10 Years".

The White House announced earlier today, the defense agreements between the Kingdom and the United States of America worth about 110 billion dollars.

51 companies representing the heart of the US economy participated in the Chief Executives Forum

Saturday May 20, 2017

The US president's visit to Riyadh was accompanied by an important representation of the largest US companies, including major banks such as JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Citigroup, with total assets exceeding $ 5 trillion last year, roughly the size of the combined economy of Canada and Germany, for example.

During the historic visit of Donald Trump to Saudi Arabia, the signing of deals and agreements worth hundreds of billions, shows the importance of the economic aspect in the relations between the two parties.

The US delegation is attended by senior executives from the largest investment companies and investment funds in the United States to explore investment opportunities and strengthen the partnership between Saudi Arabia and the United States in vital sectors including oil, gas, aviation, healthcare, technology, manufacturing and infrastructure.

These efforts are aimed at expanding the scope of trade between the two countries to contribute to the localization of jobs and the creation of new jobs in the Kingdom in line with the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

Among the participants are the presidents of the three major US banks, and oil companies, notably ExxonMobil, the world's largest listed oil company by market value of $ 347 billion, and National Oilwell Varco with a market cap of over $ 13 billion.

Four major oil service companies, Baker Hughes, Halliburton, Schlumberger Weather, and Ford, also contributed $ 60 billion in gross revenues last year, equal to the size of Luxembourg's economy.

The largest asset management companies, notably Blackstone Group and CARLYLE Group, which have assets of nearly $ 500 billion, are also in the size of Belgium's economy.

What are you blabbering about?:rofl:o_O:crazy: IVC has nothing to do with (other than trade) ancient Semitic civilizations (the oldest in the world) native to the Arab world. Pre-Abrahamic (themselves Semitic) Semitic religions have little affinity to pagan religions found in South Asia. In any case I was obviously joking.

Three summits radiate from Riyadh
Sunday, 21 May 2017
Abdulrahman Gdaia
There is no doubt that US President Donald Trump’s decision to go to Saudi Arabia on his first foreign trip as president adds another dimension to the path of relations between the US and the Saudi kingdom and confirms the special historical relations between the two countries and their people.

It also proves that the strong ties reflect the depth of bilateral relations in the political, military, economic and security fields and indicate an obvious quantum leap.

The visit is marked by three summits - the Saudi-American summit, the Gulf-American summit and the American-Islamic summit.

These meetings will discuss the situation in the region and the destruction it is suffering due to some regional countries’ flagrant interferences and threats to safety and stability.

The three summits indicate a new reality in international relations. This reality helps enhance the level of understanding and embodies the world’s respect for the kingdom and for its leadership and experience in the new era which is characterized with a drive that is based on taking initiatives that maintain Arab and Islamic interests. This drive also represents a new phase that rejects the policy of truces and appeasement.

It is distinguished for the decisive determination of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may Allah bless him, to protect the security and stability of Arab countries from threats and to strengthen Arab and international solidarity against rogue states that violate international law. This drive also reflects a quantum leap on all levels and embodies a safe approach and the clarity of vision and aims as it looks forward towards a promising future within the national transformation plan and Vision 2030 which have put the kingdom on the path of a new phase to confront economic challenges.

Most important topics
Perhaps one of the most important topics which the leaders in Riyadh will focus on discussing will be negative phenomena and fateful issues that have influenced international peace and stability.

The first of these phenomena which attracted the international community’s attention is related to terrorism. It is one of the major topics during regional, international and bilateral meetings and it has become a major topic on the schedule of international organizations as they seek to find formulas and measures that are more efficient in terms of international cooperation in order to confront or crush terrorism or at least limit its activity via the available local, regional and international tools.

Terrorism is a global phenomenon. Therefore, the entire international community is responsible for combating it as it represents a violent phenomenon that societies have suffered for a long time now.

Terrorism is not limited to a religion or a nationality or an ethnicity or race, and it will continue to further become complicated as international communities develop, particularly following the technological and digital revolution and the emergence of social media.

The kingdom is a leader in solidifying the culture of dialogue and in spreading tolerance and openness among people who love peace and reject terrorism, extremism and racism.

The Saudi kingdom has taken many measures to confront the extremist rhetoric and ideology which justify dangerous phenomena and it did so out of its faith in the significance of confronting them. It is based on this that Saudi Arabia held an international conference in Riyadh in 2005 to confront terrorism and it has resumed its local, regional and international efforts since then.

Intellectual security
On the local level, it adopted the strategy of intellectual security that is based on protection, rehabilitation and aftercare. The Care Rehabilitation Center was established for this purpose.

On the international level, the United Nations Center for Counter-Terrorism was established in 2011 and it was launched through the efforts of Saudi Arabia and its international contribution to fighting terrorist groups. The kingdom has supported this center.

The kingdom has a unique and successful experience in uprooting deviant intellect and extremist Islamic ideology and in standing strong against interfering countries which want to harm Arab states. This is what gained the kingdom its prestigious status in the international arena.

Its efforts via diplomatic framework in mobilizing and intensifying international cooperation and collective work, in enhancing cultural openness and embodying what cultures have in common have shown the kingdom’s leading and efficient role, specifically in terms of the new base of its foreign policy towards strengthening international security and peace.

Keep up the good work, Sharif. Waiting for Trump's speech live on TV and the political correctness adjustments he will be making which will be far from his anti-Muslim campaign rhetoric. Thankfully he didn't write it himself and has had several drafts proposed to him to chose from. A lot of eyes and ears will be tuned in.

Maybe we should let Ivanka read the speech to be assured of no "misunderstandings".

The excerpts published so far are not surprising.

If he didn't write it, then it is just as bad if not worse. His advisers are junk neocons. We're probably going to hear stuff about 'making peace with Israel' even though that is in Israel's hands and Arabs are just waiting for Israel's response to numerous proposals, and even recent one as well. Anyway, his speech will not change the Arab world or Muslim world. The direction of our societies is going to be decided by the people and needs to and will take a natural course. Anti-extremism efforts are being conducted by us before this administration and are serious and fruitful. I think everything will get better for the Arab and Muslim world from here on.

3 items that address some concerns about the future of Saudi oil.

Please elaborate brother.

KSA's (Aramco and SABIQ more precisely) petrochemical and chemical industry is one of the largest in the world.

Saudi Aramco signed $ 50 billion deals with US companies, GE signed deals worth $ 15 billion in industry and mining, ExxonMobil and SABIC signed petro-chemical production project agreements, design of offshore drilling platforms worth $ 7 billion with Rowan, Nabors extends $ 9 billion joint oil drilling project, Aramco and National Oilwell signed a new joint venture of $ 6 billion, Wetherford signed projects worth $ 2 billion to settle oilfield goods and services, Dow Chemical agreed to building a polymer production facility and studying other projects, McDermott signed a memorandum of $ 2.8 billion for the settlement of Aramco's goods and services, Honeywell signed a $ 3.6 billion note for projects with Aramco and Jacobs Engineering signed a $ 250 million memorandum of understanding for oil projects.

@Gomig-21 @Sharif al-Hijaz

Like I said, neocon advisers if not Jewish advisers wrote this speech. Of course Hamas was included in list of groups he mentioned must be defeated. He doesn't know what Hamas is. He's just reading the transcript.

The speech so far is pretty awkward and comes off a bit hostile.

.
Just a push to start a new war in Iran , and skipping the issue of Palestine's freedom

The money flow from Saudia to USA is old story has been happening since 1970's
the $$$ was paid from Saudis to USA from long time ago there is nothing new in that story.

If US is selling more weapons in region

This is old story has happened for 20-30 years in Past.

.
Does anyone get what we were supposed to get out of this speech? No concrete proposals or suggestions, just the usual rhetoric. For example in regards to terrorism, let's say the Muslim side do their part, what will the Western allies compensate with? Or giving 'freedom' to the citizens, which is blanket suggestion of reforming Islam, then what will we get in return? If you want to make on ideology more moderate or liberal, you have to make all the others too. Tackle Zionism and right wing fascism too. But that won't happen, it's one sided and there is not a lot to gain for the Arab or Muslim world.
