What's wrong with that? People have been saying how come they aren't marked as "developed".

The only thing holding them back is the standard of living disparity between city dwellers and those in the countryside with its high levels of poverty.

Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Kuwait and other countries are not developed countries. There is no reason to label China as a developed country.

They sure are full of slums. I'm the one who is saying all the people with money have moved to the suburbs leaving the cities full of poor people who can't even pay for the city's infrastructure upkeep.

The American Dream was a single family home, white picket fence, 2.5 kids and a dog.

As the result of Trump's trade war, tariff on Chinese import has far surpassed the limit WTO sets for developing countries, and even higher than developed countries, making the above argument moot.
