US installing radiation detectors at Pakistani ports

The US does not trust in Pakistani regime any more after what AQ Khan did.
Some called him the EBAY of Nuclear weapons

So why take a chance.!

It was just Americans propoganda......see he is free.
No one even can dare to say him.

He is great man. And Pakistani people love him....:pakistan:

Many wants to be like him.

I know A.Q Khan is one of the pain for u , coz he made Nukes for us.

Tell u more his daughter is the chairperson of AQ Khan laboratory. :pakistan:

Ummm...You havent had them for much long dude to let the jehadis get them...Uncle got involved pretty soon after you got them AFAIK, nice try at the humor though...

Wow, you know so much about Pakistan's nuclear program. Are you AQ Khan?

All credit for the humour goes to know-it-alls such as yourself!

Indians never think from brain............thats the only problem.

Safeguards are just to protect the transfar of MASS deduction to other country. Pakistan is also involved in the project.

What is all the fuss about?

The detectors are installed at ports, in case someone tries to smuggle out nuclear materials.

They are not installed at Pakistan's nuclear facilities, nor is there any evidence that the US is allowed anywhere near Pakistan's nuclear weapons facilities.

The US has offered financial and technical assistance in developing safeguards for the nuclear program and facilities, it has not been allowed to maintain any sort of physical presence or checks.

For example, the US wanted to have PAL's (programmed access locks ... I think) installed on the weapons. However the US was unwilling to share the technology that would allow Pakistan to design its own, so Pakistan declined the US offer of US manufactured PAL's, and designed its own.

Detectors at ports is just redundant safety measures, and no harm in them.

and gys just forget about the US taking over the Pakistani Nukes whenever they want to! it is all rubbish! they dont even exactly know there site! more importantly the security provided at thoses sites cannot be just ignored! they are there deep down the earth where the US satelities cant detect them, neither can any bomb destroy storage sites so deep down the earth!
so just chill and let them stick to there dreams!!

regards!

isnt that just an advanced form of Geiger muller counter? What is the big fuss with this?

It was kind of him to let them know, wasn't it?

Well since you seem such a fan of AQ's, the guy was caught red handed , and he is still wanted for the proliferation he did. He escaped jail just because he contributed to your nuclear program. Otherwise he is just a criminal who got caught stealing.

On the contrary it seems you are his biggest fan because you believe he gave Pakistan a bad reputation. Doesn't matter who wants him. Scientists don't get sent to jail for helping their country develop. He's a criminal to people like you because he helped Pakistan develop nuclear technology, not simply because he "proliferated."

don't be much pleased with these detectors, they can really play an opposite role i.e we can't export any nuclear secrets neither we can import any!! & whats the big deal in exporting nuclear secrets if one gets a very hansome amount of money these days via such technology transfers. Even USA has a history of nuclear black markets & illegal technology transfers from Germans & viceversa, after WWII
