This is a security measure by Pakistan and it has refused to accept anybody as Pakistan unless Pakistan knows they are Pakistanis. Not any Tom, Dick Harry, Kulbhushan or Abhinandans can be accepted into Pakistan because USA thinks they are Pakistanis.

There has been a security risk because of such non-identified people. More than USA, Pakistan worries its own security. USA has not lost 70,000 people to terrorism, Pakistan has.

What about visa overstayers? They are not Pakistanis either?

Hit them back with ban as well..USA must know this is different Pakistan

Pakistan could also refuse visa to Americans likes of Christine Fair and other officials. There are many foreign citizens especially Afghans that have obtained Pakistani passport through bribes and illegal means. Pakistan has refused to accept individuals being deported holding Pakistani passports from USA and Europe that cannot prove their residency in Pakistan. Why should Pakistan accept Afghan citizens holding illegally obtained Pakistani passports ?

One of the most ridiculous excuses I have ever heard. You are basically saying that all Pakistani passports are suspect, even legitimate ones. It's essentially Pakistan's responsibility to ensure that only its citizens get passports. If it can't do so is a big red flag. Then it would be better to stop issuing visas to Pakistani all together.

I've been hearing that for years and nothing has been done. PTI was the biggest supporter of this move, but haven't done anything since it's been power. I'm not holding my breath.

You need to read articles you post a little closer. All the FO is saying that nothing has happened...yet. The State Department office also confirmed this. But it can happen in the future, just not now.
