Friend of the US will want her to be rehabilitated, to be accepted as a voice of reason and conscience - but the US cannot be rehabilitated unless it's focus is on creating Justice, that's right, Creating Justice at home and undoing the wrongs it has done to herself -- So, no, it's not about pointing fingers at the US, rather it's about helping the US to be eligible to be rehabilitated in the eyes of the world -- The US is an important player, yet it's international behavior dictated by the kinds of ideas that have gained ground in the US, have disappointed the people of the world and as a result they have set the US to the side, but they have done so, with regret and with the hope that these ideas that have led the US astray will be rejected, we as peoples of the world who are friends of the US, owe it to the US, to keep the focus inside US, so that it may once again create Justice inside US and in doing so allow the people of the world to reconsider.

Besides a rather poor human rights record inside and abroad, the US has a much more serious problem, and that problem is the degree to which the democratic process of electing deputies or representatives to both houses of the US congress is now no longer open to all citizens - actually, it's become all about money and this corruption is so blatant that hundreds of millions of dollars are now raised and spent on offices that offer a salary of at most a couple of thousand Dollars a year -- and yet, the majority of US citizens cannot participate in the democratic process because they simply do not have nor are inclined to pay for political access and service, something they once thought of as a birth right (*Freedom not free? you don't know the half of it)

The american democracy is a two-party autocracy, it is in no way a real democracy. In real democracy people have a wide variety of choices.

Indeed some Americans argue that even with their so called two party system, it seems that the ideas that are ascendant are ones which have an appeal to a section in both parties, this they describe as consensus, ignoring the fact that the legislature, much like the courts, have temples dedicated to deal making, not law making.

Still America is awesome if you just mind your own business and work hard.

You will not be affected in West Virginia. You will definitely be affected in major cities like Los Angelos or Detroit.

My father was a postdoc in the US. It's very frightening seeing groups of young men just sitting on the streets smoking in front of stores, asking passing cars for jobs. The streets of major cities almost always seem empty, especially at night.

I also personally know people in graduate programs in Cleveland, Ohio. They describe it as a freezing hell with crime and drugs.

You know, China's dangerous too. But not in small rural villages.

It's always most dangerous in major cities, especially major cities with bad security like Dongguan, Shenzhen or Beijing. Shanghai has great security. Still not as bad as the US. No guns and almost no drugs inland, lots of drugs near the Myanmar and Vietnam borders. Worst crimes are usually violent economic crimes like kidnapping, car theft, armed robbery. Not like US where murder and rape are common.

Most Us persons have not a clue just how much US is despised --- ordinary Us persons are sweet, easy going and they become shocked and hurt because once US was very much admired and it's true that US has been a very helpful and generous country -- but all this began to change since 1967, and then 9/11 and the US theories about culture and invasions.

How can ordinary US persons know this reality when they are repeatedly fed lies by their government officials and motivated co-opted media, it's tragic.

If you are a friend of the US, you must help it to rediscover what made the US what it once was, don't be mistaken, to this day, peoples are lined up to come to US for a chance in her economy, and never before have these been more under threat of never realizing the US of their dreams and ambition.

I think contributing to the US economy is a crime against humanity. Every bit of tax paid to the US government goes straight to their war machine or the pockets of politicians. Every bit of profit made for a US company is going towards robbing your home country and strengthening the US war machine killing your people.

They forgot the worst human right violations in the US:

1. Prison Homosexual Rape (300,000 cases per year).
2. A Father's Right to see his children more than every other weekend (millions of divorce cases)
3. Affordable Healthcare (40 million people)

What does this have to do with human rights?

Prisoners don't care about human rights, they will gladly rape you without thinking twice. Rape is also an individual choice and not an official policy of any kind, thus human rights do not apply.

A husband and wife not getting along, again is not a violation of anyone’s rights.

Having healthcare whether it's affordable or not is not a violation of anyone’s rights, many countries that offer 'affordable' healthcare tax the living hell out of citizens, so in reality it is not at all affordable.

China should and that'll balance the picture. The westerners need to be shown that they are not what they claim. If that is done properly the world won't see them poking their ugly noses where it is not wanted by the majority of the population.

I agree. Nazi Germany was rich and powerful during that time. Yet investors in Nazi Germany were considered war criminals. Nazi Germany gassed 6 million Jews. A horrific act. But the US alone butchered 4 million Koreans and 3 million Vietnamese. Why are those who invest and work in the US not also considered war criminals?
