Well my friend in this world nobody is no one's friend for free..... Imagine if you were some landlocked country with no access to central Asia or gulf.... This is similar to the alignment US had with China in 70s through Pak to counter USSR.

Russia can never challenge the might of US in future, but China can. Putin's dictatorship cannot be a big concern as US is friends with several Gulf dictatorships as well.

USA defeated USSR but not Russia which is still capable of converting USA into a steaming mull dung with it's Topol missile and thousands of nuclear warheads..... China can't do that..... they are yet to annex small Taiwan to mainland with force and still buying Flankers 35, S400 from Russia..... in another 3-4 months you will see them going back from despang too.... They are a big military power but certainly not capable to take on USA..... USA knows this hence less restrictions on china related matters...

India is no one's butler. We cant say the same about Pakistan who has chosen to be China's slave now after US threw it after years of use.

Some American think tanks are also questioning whether Russia is actually an enemy.

I think India will get S400 and US will just slap a mini sanction which will not effect India in any way. Like US will just "kindly" ask India to avoid exposing western equipments with S400. India has deep rooted ties with west like Israel does. No kidding.

I don't know and infact nobody of us know what is the actual military threat perception to USA from china and Russia..... Pentagon must be having much more precise data than all of us keyboard warriors..... We can just assume..... Just look at the history from post world war 2....

How much seriously USA has taken Russia and how much seriously they are taking china..... They are constantly sitting in South China sea breaking china maritime boundary, air violations with even P8 posidon, forming quad..... If push comes to a show china will be like a landlocked country and still able to do nothing about it.... Endless arguments.... But china will be winner on pdf offcourse...

I saw his joint press conference with Rajnath Singh. They body language and tone was of 2 leaders who real like and respect each other. The real statements between friends are made in private.

I like that India is exterting herself and not just following the Americans. Let's look after our own interests first. There is enough overlap of our interest that we can still be close friends with the Americans.
