Didn't Pakistan know that this is going to happen?

With a Saudi friendly government and Pakistan always on crutches due to economic dependence, this was a known result. Why cant Pakistani officials make a case with US to let this project go? We need energy. We dont have enough gas for heating for industry, for domestic use. Sanctioning Iran is US problem, Iran is our neighbor. We must have found something to work this out.

pakistanis may say they dont want saudi and US aid but they are a closet anti shia country .. They would run away from pipeline at the drop of a hat later even if Iran constructs the pipeline in pakistan ..

Iran would be left with more losses !
