What's new

US can't attack Iran, and Israel probably can't handle the response: Slate

Mercenary...Iran's Military is driven by Religion

So was Ottoman Empire and so was before that..Islam is a way of Life and complete System...don't drag religion again as the basis of conflict with jews when it comes to Iran and jews the problem is as simple as that you don't allow one party and allow other party to acquire...

Yet if America was to do that prior to now. Then it would be criticized the world over for not allowing negotiations to work. Personally I think that time is drawing to a fast close. But with Obama in office anything can happen.

well, i don't think the koreans or vietnamese that the US military massacred in the 50's, 60's and 70's got much of a chance to negotiate.

also, north korea has a nuke now, why are you even negotiating? do it cowboy style and arrest then hang mr. kim like you did saddam lol?

the real american way is cowering against anyone who can fight back and using media control to demonize them, and ruthlessly slaughtering the weak. anyone who picked up a history textbook written outside the US knows this.

.
below_freezing..yeah the american way impose sanctions stop all critical medical life saving drug supplies and food to leave people stave to death and with diseases that's a plain massacre by u s of a committed through out the history! we've seen that in WWII/during and after Gulf war I/II and through out for the past 6 decades..

.
The fact of the matter is what if the United States gets up and decides that it wants to attack Iran, it will and it will win. Has anyone even seen the size of their forces lol their naval aviation arm is bigger than most air forces in the world. Not to mention over 50% of the world Military spending as well as the most advanced tech there is. If the U.S.A wants to do something, they will and no one can stop them. Its a fact that i don’t like but yes one cannot deny it either.

.
they wanted "Yalu River by Christmas."

they ended up back at the 38th instead and General Walker lost his life. even with south koreans as cannon fodder, they were pushed back 400 km by the PVA using WW1 era weapons.

they REALLY wanted north vietnam. they lost it all. how badly did they want it? badly enough to use chemical weapons, gutting people alive and chopping off ears to mark kill counts like savages. but did they get it? no, there's a nice Little Saigon in L.A. where the vietnamese traitors went.

Your local political commissar has indoctrinated you well grasshopper. :pop:

In the case of North Korea we are no longer in negotiations. And the fact that they already have the bomb means they have to be treated differently. After all you don't want the hostage taker to kill the victim (South Korea). What will change that equation is if they get caught exporting any of their weapons grade Uranium or an actual weapon.

That is why it is important to deal with Iran before they get a bomb.

so the moral of the story is: get nukes as fast as possible so the US leaves you alone, otherwise you become iraq?

In Iran's case the situation is more dangerous. Their Mullahs Mehdi army beliefs complicate the situation. It will depend on Obama on the outcome if Iran doesn't respond to sanctions. And if the U.S. can keep Israel from attacking for the time being. At some point though if Israel feels they have no choice and the U.S. has not acted, then they will.

is this a joke or did CNN already deprive you of the ability to think properly. the iranian leadership has shown they have made a pragmatic decision with little ideology. they're going to get nukes because a neighbor was just exterminated because they didn't have them. ahmedinejad isn't a cleric, he's a career politician with a PhD in transportation engineering. he made a clear, calculated choice in the style of scientists to maximize his nation's power and is gambling that the US won't do anything substantial to stop him, and it's obviously working.

then you better do some more research on your man Ahmedinejad and what he believes.

his "beliefs" are for his constituency who vote for him. all a show. if the iranian government was not a pragmatic, calculating one, it would not have survived 30 years. at any rate, the less oil controlled by the US, the better. the nuclear weapons program in iran is merely the ultimate safeguard of chinese investments in that nation, and american ones too, once your country stops the useless sanctions. think of them as protecting american businesses from themselves.

They are whining about it because if Iran goes Nuclear, that will mean the Sunni Arab States will also go nuclear such as Saudi Arabia and Egypt to curtail the rising power of Shia Islam.

Second, Iran's leadership believes in martyrdom to bring about the Mehdi. They might launch a nuclear attack on Israel and then Israel will retaliate which they hope would bring about the Mehdi.

Thrid, they can give Nuclear Weapons to Hezbollah and Hamas in which splinter cells from those groups will use them against Israel, starting a nuclear war.

Iran's nuclear program was initiated by the Americans when the Shah was in Iran.

Hezbollah killed 44 Israeli civilians after a barrage of thousands of rockets during the 2006 war. With Iron Dome, that number can be withered down to 10 or less in the next war because it only attacks those rockets which are projected to target populated areas or sensitive targets.

As for Iran, Pentagon, Brookings Institute and other Defence Think Tanks listed about 600 Targets that need to be utterly destroyed in Iran should USA chose to attack Iran. These include their nuclear facilities, IRGC targets, Missile Depots, Naval Installations, Radar, Air Bases, Power Stations, etc....

US stated in that war game, that it will take 5 days to achieve air supremacy over Iran after massive missile and air strikes and neutron bomb to wreck Iran's military infrastructure and then 10 days of very heavy bombing to totally destroy Iran's infrastructure.

Iran will retaliate by asking Hezbollah to start another war with Israel, mining the Straits of Hormuz which will be cleared in 2 days max by US mine sweepers.

The main danger from Iran comes it destabilizing Iraq and Afghanistan.
Hi
So Iranians might give nukes to Israeli enemies but israel and america never gave chemical weapons to Iran's enemies right?:disagree: so America says it can do :blah: :blah: during a war i am sure they had the same confidence before attacking Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam:woot: awwww i wonder what went wrong then and as for Iron dome here is a little thing, first of its not operational yet, The estimated cost of the Tamir intercept missile is $35,000–$50,000, whereas a crudely manufactured Qassam rocket does not cost more than a few hundred dollars, that's cost effective:rofl:
