US approves release of oldest Guantanamo prisoner — a 73-year-old man from Pakistan

Statement taken in Gitmo... plausible very plausible. They didn't do it to Afia or the others who were given sentence but somehow in this case they didn't bother to charge him and then released after 16 years And no one can question it.
You're forgetting Bagram too.

If you guys ever wondered that why Mir Jafar did what he did and made himself a disgrace for rest of the years to come

Come and read this thread or some particular members. You would understand why he did that treachery

The fact remains that he has been cleared for release.

Thats how the patriot act works.

Are you as a US citizen cleared for release or innocent till proven guilty?

naraz qabail they are for sure
American justice

forget that what about Pakistani justice? like he is a Pakistani citizen who was abducted from Thailand.

mandir ki ghante ki tarah baja rahe hain and all you are busy is to appease the fringe element out for revenge against the country for some alleged entitlement they didn't receive as birth right.

You didn't get my point. He was arrested 16 years ago and he wasn't even charged then. This case seems a like a case where they (US) made a poor judgement and threw the guy into detention otherwise they would have charged him with something like they did with Afia Siddiqui.
Not even Afia Siddiqui was charged on terrorism

As I said before:

Let his case be an illustration of the dangers of the hundi hawala system.

(And lets' not claim that Pakistanis had nothing to do with 9/11. KSM, and even this guy's son, and him, were Pakistani citizens.)

This, may be?
How easy it is to accuse anyone. How could you say this when his captive are say that he was held without a trail, a fair trail.

He was cleared by the Board due to a finding of no longer being a threat.
I hope he pays back his losses with interest after release

If they are looking for 'facilitators' for Al-Quaeda or ISIS, try the White House.

You do realize that KSM used the good Mr. Paracha to get money to two 9/11 hijackers, and he admitted to the transaction, right? This case was only part of the background that led to the FATF story for Pakistan and why the present setup clearly sees its national interest is curbing the hundi hawala system.

Unfortunately guys this guy @VCheng is "lakeer ka faqeer" and nothing will change his stance because "bheins ke agay beeen bajaney se kuch farq nahi parta"...

BTW I just did a little review of his replies on various threads here on PDF and yes he just wants to "win each and every argument" not knowing that he looks like a fool ... :D

He has every right to voice his opinion. You can agree to disagree.
